Locked: EU Sales Up --- PS3 is DESTROYED!

Forums - Sales Discussion - EU Sales Up --- PS3 is DESTROYED!

I'm scared!

Life goes on, and next week some thread will be made about sales again, and so on.

This has no effect on my life whats so ever, but I'll say something related to this topic because I might be considered trolling.

Nice sales for the 360, Wii and Ds never seem to surprise me. I won't speak of Sony.

Lots of people are too extreme in this thread.

PS3 sales are down the first full week of the 360 price drop, ZOMFG!!! Price cut PS3 is necessary!!!

No, calm down people. Let's wait a few weeks okay? Look at Japan? 360 is falling every week since it's price-drop high. Look at America? 360 is falling post-price drop also. If I were a predicting man, I would predict things back to normal LBP week, with PS3 beating 360 across all territories, but I'm not one, but things will be back to normal in a few weeks. Breathe, stretch, shake, and let it go.

It seems perfectly logical to take the sales from price cut weeks and assume the sales ratio will always stay that way.  What it the problem with that????

Nintendo incredible as always, microsoft really good....Sony, HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Wow dude.

Is it really that serious?

lol.

You do know it only dropped 1k from last week?  65k to 64k.

:-/

We won't know until March of next year if the price cut had the desired result. That is an unfortunate truth. Consistent sales increases can't be shown to be consistent in 3 or 4 weeks time, and holiday bumps/numbers are inflated and non-indicative of trends.

Every console should get a temporary price cut. In our instant gratification culture, we want to know the results of the 360 price cut. I say, wait 6 months, because those results aren't ready.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Good numbers for 360 but was expecting even a bigger gap with the price drop. Regardless, MS now has control of all three regions... for now.

Now the real question is how the 360 can beat the Wii for a week? That thing is a BEAST.

No. But if it ever did then Sony would have to worry about their European/Other marketshare. I think they'll be back in 2nd place soon enough.

4 ≈ One

Good move for Microsoft. I remember one of the claims they made was that the key the winning the console war was Europe. So for appearances sake the increase in 360 sales works in their favor for that reason at the very least. Of course there is always Nintendo to account for, but still good for Microsoft nonetheless. In regards to the PS3, I don't see what the issue is since the demand is still there while the gap between PS3 and 360 sales in "others" is small. I'm just glad that consoles and handhelds are still selling well in "others" when you consider the slowing American economy.

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.

Did i say anything about the drop??? I think not....but its funny to see that sony's #1 market is just forgetting about them...come on people, you dont have to jump like that. And even bullshit that i commented on the ps3 dropping....i just find funny the fact that sony is doing really crappy in europe/others....you people should learn to read (=
