Forums - Sony Discussion - Afrika goes Europe..

At Photokina at Cologne (a large exhibit of all photographic equipment-related gadgetry), Sony was demonstrating an english language version of its game (?) "Afrika" to interested reporters. According to Sony, "Afrika" is sort of "photography-related" hence the place of demonstration. European wide release is planned for early 2009.

Realistic version of Pokemon Snap ftw! j/k lol

I still don't understand the hype behind this game either. It looks like it's pretty boring with very limited interaction at all. Ever since I got my PS3 I've been hearing about this game and how it's supposed to look so nice and blah blah. Then I saw a video of an animal walking in the water and the splash was one of the worst animations I've ever seen for a water splash in my life.

I do not get any of the hype behind this game.

^^ I bearly see much hype for it at all....

Check out my game about moles ^

So did it ACTUALLY release in Japan? There wasn't enough hype to actually tell me.

And this game looks so-so. But it didn't get enough loving to actually make it... good.

Sony will prevail. My 60 gig says so.

PlayStation 3 Games:

- Rock Band
- Rock Band 2
- Soulcalibur IV
- LittleBigPlanet
- Guitar Hero: World Tour

...and today (it was almost expected to happen..), A Sony spokesperson officially denied that there are any plans for a European release of "Afrika".

(looks like the left hand/right hand thing to me... why would they make a full english version if there were no plans to recoup some of the money that was thrown down the toilet for this software?)
