Sega saturn had great potential if you lived in japan. I did enjoy the saturn however japan got all the good games and most of those were never ported over to the usa or if they it was in very small quantities. The saturn could have done a lot better if the games made in japan would have made it over here.

The dreamcast was a great system and a lot of the things like online play was ahead of the game. The bad part was sega made it and the saturn left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouth, also the 3rd party support was lacking.

I have a Sega Dreamcast, and I really love it. It's to bad its life was cut short. I have to admit I didn't jump at buying one cause I was still pretty mad and how they just dropped the GameGear and pretty much left the market for a whole generation with the Saturn.

I'm planing on getting a Sega Saturn in the near future.

I won't even classify a ngage as as a gaming machine, let alone own one.

The Saturn was just so expensive and seriously underwhelming to me. I mean, Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES was better than just about anything on Sega Saturn for the first full year or so. But I loved it. Fighting Vipers <3 and games like Fire Pro Wrestling and the Capcom Vs series (imported from Japan) became house hold favorites.

Sega Dreamcast I bought after the system was canned. I thought it was going to be the next big thing (and to an extent it was... looking at XBOX and the successor 360) but it really fizzled for me when Sega decided to charge for Phantasy Star Online after repeating over and over that the game would be free of online charge. Great system though. Marvel Vs Capcom and the sequel were big highlights along with the 2k Sports games and Crazy Taxi. Soul Calibur and Expendable were like godsend to my brother and I.

N-Gage was a diaster. It sold about as well as flames would in hell. It was poorly designed and marketed. I mean, was it a phone? Was it a video game console? Was it a multimedia device? Was it a taco? Was the asking price supposed to be cheap? Was it supposed to control like a taco shaped cell phone? Was it really necessary to take the battery out just to change the game? Was the service supposed to be inferior to Cingular? That thing was an overall diaster.

Yeah about the N-Gage the unit debuted on October 7, 2003 and Nokia ended production on it November 26, 2005..it sold 2 million units worldwide in 2 or 3 years...now that sucks!!!

I actually had a friend who worked for Nokia around then (he was pretty much the "do you hear me now guy" except less exciting) and he tried to sell me on those silly things. Needless to say he quit Nokia about half a year later because they were going in the toilet.

well their actually not in trouble its just they wasted 145 million dollars on that project which was a retarded project going against Nintendo at the time....

They weren't in trouble, but the company (or at least the one my friend worked at --whichever one is in the Dallas area, not sure what city) was going to shit and he said others were too. He use to be the biggest Nokia whore too, he would have some new phone every few weeks and show it off because he had to work on it. I don't really care about phones and the extra features so I never really payed him a lot of attention when he was talking Nokia.

i have question twesterm or anyone else...Do u buy consoles base on sales?? or u just buy it because u like the system??

Based on the games. I don't care if a console sold 100 million, if it doesn't have enough games I want to justify the price, I won't buy it.
