Forums - Gaming Discussion - Has anyone ever bought the sega saturn, dreamcast or n-gage??

I bought the Saturn launch day and still have that console along with a Japanese console. I think the Saturn is the best system out their, it didn't have a million games like the PS1 but the quality of titles that did come out is amazing especially if you import titles. The Dreamcast as well I bought at launch still have that console along with a Japanese console that I purchased b4 the Dreamcast was out in the USA. The Dreamcast I think was a great system as well but didn't reach its full potential because Sega pulled the plug to early on it.

I bought a Dreamcast, an extra controller and memory card, and a few games for $10 a few years ago (and later bought some more games for $1 each) and I'm still regretting it.


yea im still thinking about it too...im pissed off at that i bought a sega saturn...but the past is the past and sega is gone..im just hoping sony, microsoft or nintendo dont withdrawl or follow sega steps...cause sega was a bad influence to all!!!! O_O


 

if you are so pissed, i will give you 100 dollars for your console, all controllers/memory cards and entire game library, depending on which games you have.

Dude, if you want my DC that badly you can have it for $100.  I don't really remember what games I had, but I know I had Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, and Record of Lodoss War (worst game ever).

 

 


Sorry, I already have a dreamcast, I got it for 20 bucks.  I didn't realize i didn't clairify.  I'd pay for the Saturn.

I've got a DC, got it the year before it was discountinued. What a shame. Shenmue sold the console to me. It was fantastic playing near perfect arcade games in the home like Virtua Tennis, Confidential Mission etc. Got the 2 Powerstones as well.

I was angry at the time, but there was continual releases for another year or so afterwards. Also Europe was lucky to get Shenmue 2, whereas NA didn't.

Also, all the games started appearing for like £5 soon afterwards....so I have a 50 game collection somewhere in my loft. I like bringing it out from time to time to play Bomberman....oh and another game that was fantastic was PSO.

I bought the DC when they dropped the price to $100, but i played it all the time at my friends , the system was ahead of its time and killed all the PS2 games it came up against. Plus i never bought any games for it from the store, i got them all for $5 burned from friends, i had over 100 games for it.

I do not regret Dreamcast, it is one of the best systems I have owned. SC, Shen Mue (at the time), Sonic Adventure 1, Cool Boarder for Dreamcast, really great games got plenty out of my DC for the money... Here is to Dreamcast2. (Cheers)

twesterm, shut up and go troll somewhere else. Sega caused their own downfall, it had nothing to do with the low percent of people playing burned games. The PS1, PS2 and xbox all have a higher percent of burned games on their systems. The DC tried to bring the systems on to the internet when highspeed internet was still low and most people never played games online. Maybe sega should of tried to promote the system more aswell. Along with having no support from EA is just going to kill your system.
