Okay if I accept the Wii as 7th gen console, will you please post a list of its technical stats compared to the PS3 and 360?

Wii:  Sophisticated motion controls, entirely new games, new genres, new ideas

PS360:  updated graphics for existing series

I think you need to convince us PS3 and 360 are 7th gen

Entirely new games on the Wii? LMAO! Why don't we take a little look at the highest rated games on the system, shall we?

The problem is you're limiting your scope to the highest rated games, all of which are rated by traditional gaming critics.  That, and you leave out games like Zak & Wiki, which are only possible on Wii.

We all know which system has the most original content.  No use trying to mask it by bringing up a few sequels.

Viper:  Some people can't think outside the box of "TECHNOLOGY = GRAPHICS"

Fippity-floppity.

You switch sides of the fence more often than a garden gate.

Frybread... It's true the Wii does those things. But you can say the same things about every console (except the motion control part).

Unless they somehow appeared on previous consoles, I'd say Bioshock, Uncharted, Resistance, Gears, Mass Effect, and Motorstorm are all new games.

I'd also like to know these new genres you're talking about. I can't think of one for Viva Pinata or Afrika.

And obviously these two consoles have new ideas. Look at what MS did with Live and tell me that's not thinking outside the box. Look at LBP and tell me that's not innovative or new.

Just because Nintendo focused on a new audience this time around does not mean they are the only innovative company. You also seem to think better graphics are a bad thing. I along with millions of others see it as another pro.

I AGREE HALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. GOOD POINT. WII CAN'T DO WHT PS360 CAN ,BUT SONY IS DOING WHT BOTH WON'T TO DO. BUT SONY WILL GET BETTER AT IT NINTENDO WILL BANK ON IT (WITH WII 2) AND MICROSOFT WILL TRY TO PICK UP WARE NINTENDO LEFT OFF. NINTENDO TOOK THE RISK SONY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO CHANGE THERE CONTROLLER AND MICROSOFT DIDN'T THINK WE NEEDED IT.

can somebody please explain what is in it for a wii gamer that thier system sells most?

all the best games are on hd consoles. in fact they cant even compare imo

this is like saying an austin allegro is a better car because it sold more cars than a mclaren f1 in the uk.

its possible that end of gen wii has more sales than ps3, but apart from a mario zelda a kart a brawl, whats in it for a gamer?

the wii profits arnt in your back pocket so stop clutching straws

You are still thinking from a year ago mind set. There are good core games for the wii. And much more to come. Every 2 or so games announced is for the wii. Soon the wii will have all the games like the PS2. Must of those games for the other systems were already in development long before it was known that the wii would take off like it did.

madworld will be the biggest hardcore game to come out on the wii since nomore heroes(witch sold badly but was still a good game). nintendo always has suprises or have u gamers forgotten that.

Alright, I think this thread has gone on for long enough.
