Well what if someone doesn't like either Nintendo or Microsoft and those two companies have the only two consoles on the market next time out, well then what are you supposed to do if you refuse to buy a console from either one?

It seems like you answered your question already. No one should tell you what to do. If you don't want them, you won't get anything. The choice is completely yours.

From the games I played, I would say Godfather, Smash Bros and Boom Blox. I love almost all my games (I didn't like wii play), but these three are the best. Boom blox and smash because I love multiplayer and they are the finest at it. Godfather because... I loved the wii controls for this game. Just loved it.

Unless radical changes happen, PS3 won't win console war, if we talk about the real thing, being first when Wii's production will stop. Anyway, IF by then, as most likely, PS3 will be second with a small enough gap and request won't have already faded, Sony could claim a much less important victory keeping on selling another 1-2 years, until PS3 surpasses the not anymore sold Wii... It would be more out of pique than a true victory, anyway, but as by then PS3 HW costs will be dirt cheap, it would also give good net profits, like PS2 is doing now.
