This is the exact same thing I'm gonna do, eventually I want to plat the whole series. I only have Chains of Olympus and GOW 3 plats at the moment though.

Yeah I only have the GoW 3 platinum and I might replay GoW 2 for the platinum some day. I'm not really interested in GoW 1 since it's weaker than 2,3 and Ascension imo. I also completed the PSP titles which I'm not getting on PS3 just for trophies.

 

I've played about 3-4 hours of Ascension yesterday. I must say, since it's God of fuckin' War, it can't be other than good. But it suffers the big problem I was thinking of since it got announced. It's a sequel and just because of the plot it isn't nearly as epic as Gow 3 and it's even behind Gow 2 imo. In fact, I don't even know what Kratos is doing or looking for right now in my playthrough. The combat is still great, it got tweaked a little bit, but it's not necessarely better than in Gow 3.

 

It's for sure a great game but it's far behind 3 and one step behind 2. If you're a Gow fan you just can't go wrong with Ascension though.

I kind of agree I played the SP in Accension for about an hour and a half. I agree the quest for Kratos in this isnt as clear as the others was in previous games. I have played these games all out of order as well so my recollection of the story is a little jumbled seems like Kratos broke an oath to Ares so he was locked up by the furies and he is trying to escape from them and kill them in this game. The SP is the tried an true God of War formula huge set pieces and epic hack and slash.

I enjoyed the MP more than I thought I would the fight system is a little deeper than I thought and will def continue to give it a try to see if it grows on me. I like that it is unique, not the typical MP experience.

I plated every Gow games and I'm not sure I understand the story anyway... Little bit of Zeus here, little bit of Athena there and a big bucket of blood...

The bucket of blood killed your father, Athena put you in the freindzone and Zeus hit your car in the parking lot and drove off but you saw his license plate.



Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Anyone seen the trophy lists for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD? Kingdom Hearts certainly looks challenging and kind of grindy, as it looks like it might require 3-4 playthroughs. From what I recall, Chain of Memories doesn't look as bad as KH and I'm laughing at there being trophies for 358/2 Days, since it's all cutscenes.

One-Winged Angel Defeated Sephiroth in the Platinum Match Coliseum Tournament  Bronze

Um, yeah, screw that.  I think I beat him on KH2 but I recall the KH1 version being utterly ridiculous.

Yeah, that was really hard. I never liked the game but my brother played it and after a while of trying we had to take turns because it was so frustrating. Eventually he beat him though.

I don't think I ever got around to beating any of the optional bosses in KH1 myself. I know I came close to beating Ice Titan a few times, but ended up making a stupid mistake and dying.
