Yeah I noticed that about the totals too. For advanced, the sum for 1-4 and 5 are equal. Expert is a bitch... I just started working on the full lap, the sum of 1-4 is 8:42, but here you're only given 8:30.

I think it's cause the SLS AMG has so much better acceleration than the SL300, so they assume whatever speed you lose when passing you'd gain back fast, plus of course you get to carry your speed from section to section, whereas if you do each section individually they start you off with a lower speed.

Edit: just ran it, first try 8:31.195. I also noticed the car handles very differently, there were a lot turns I was taking at 5 mph faster than before. Same settings, TCS 2 ABS 1 everything else off, comfort soft tires. I also destroyed the first section. 1:34, whereas in that individual sector's event I was only able to get 1:38.xxx. The car MUST be tuned differently.

does this mean you already got gold on all events with lower difficulty (beginner, intermediate and advanced)?

did you change any settings  to get gold on any amg event?

Man, I've played some MMORPGs for years and not made that many, or if I have a few were low level twinks.

Yeah, I've only played Everquest on the PS2 and I mainly had two characters on that game (I really only concentrated on one eventually) and any other character was either powerleveled and/or abandoned after reaching certain levels.

Yeah I've golded all the AMG events. For dry events, I used nothing but ABS 1; TCS and ASM both kill your speed. Even then, the full lap intermediate was difficult, after 9 hours i managed a 7:04, but my game froze, then a few tries later I got a 7:03.

For wet, I believe I used ABS 1 and TCS 2. I used ASM in the beginning because of how slippery it was, but it was dragging down my times way too much. For example, in the SLS AMG on sector 1, the 2 turn (gentle right hander on slight downslope), with ASM off I can take it 92 - 95. ASM on I can't do more than 84-ish.

For the wet events, the hardest were advanced sector 1 (first exposure ever to wet driving) and expert sector 4 (way too easy to lose control). Both took a few hours. The full laps were the easiest; advanced full lap first try, expert full lap 2nd try. Like I said, I think they give you a significantly better tuned car for these.

Thanks Arcturs for the update.

I seem to be holding on at 15.

I beat Fallout New Vegas yesterday. I ended siding with the NCR. I thougth it was a good end, but it felt sort of anti-climatic.

I blame it on Bethesda's engine so you cant have a lot of enemies on screen at once, also aiming is really hard outside of VATS, cause enemies move too fast.

I have one save prior to choosing which side I will join so getting the other 3 endings shall be fast.

I should have plat for next week's week update.

PS - Yesterday, I put ME2, LBP2 and Dead Space 2 demo to download. Good update for PSN!

PS2 - Been thinking about getting MAG and now Borderlands (through the PSN) but my HDD is already at 95% capacity. I need a new one. haha

Great store update with demos for ME2, LBP2, and Dead Space 2. Three excellent games coming out in January to kickoff the new year in style!! I think 2011 will be the Playstation 3's best year yet.
