Ok, so if you check out the link below, in an interview in OPM it is stated that the 360 development will not even begin until after the completion of the PS3 game.  With as slow as SE is, that might take as much as a year before they port the game to the 360.  So really all that panic and MS pr about stealing it away was for nothing.  It is just like Bioshock coming to ps3, its cool and all but it doesn't have the impact if a day and date multiplatform title.

PS3 FFXIII might as well be an exclusive because do you think that people who really want to play it are going to wait EVEN longer than they have already?  And it other news, in seems like the game is close to being finished.

Remember though, they said it will be a simultaneous release here in America for the PS3 and 360 version. The only thing we'll all suffer from this is an eventual delay, but even this is unconfirmed. Porting a game developed on PC to 360, which probably uses the same infrastructure, isn't going to change it by a lot in my opinion.

I was under the impression that the Ps3 version would be delayed until xbox version was for a double release. Doubt it will take a whole year to make 360 port.

Only Japan gets it a year early on the PS3.

Other places get the PS3/360 version at the same time, a year later.

Check out the article. It sure does not seem like a simultaneous release, this is an Australian magazine, not Japan. They said it would be in the hands of PS3 fans before the START the 360 version

And they specifically say that the PS3 version will not be delayed in any way, and that they are going for as quick a release as possible world wide.

Since any release outside of Japan will be simultaneous with the PS3, I think Square-Enix will want to have a port out relatively quickly. Isn't the game being developed with Crystal Tools? Wouldn't that make porting a fairly simple process?

Weird, because IGN, Gamespot and many other sources stated at E3 that it WILL be a simultaneous release here, at least.

It only amplifies what everyone was already saying before. Japan gets it first, others get it later at the SAME time though for both consoles, obviously.

maybe it is not delayed in japan but here in europe we aint going to see if for ages and ages yet and the 360 version just extends the time even further, i think they should just get the ps3 version done done and distribute it then start the 360.
