I try to be direct in what I say, you of all people should know if you don't your words can easily be taken out of context too easily.
I'm glad to see your being more reasonable, and I'm sure everyone else on this forum will be as well. It can be very difficult to detect sarcasm online, but thats why there's emoticons (and this is waaayyyyy off topic, but this is applicable to emoitcons and tone of voice, plus funny and historic to boot! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n4fDgmrF3o) Anyways, I try to be over the top when I post sarcastically, hence the overuse of caps and internet cliche. If people have read my earlier posts, than it provides a pretty stark contrast that should make it evident I'm joking. Although I can understand wanting to be direct online, especially when one is new to a forum. Oh, and when your post are sarcastic in the manner I've described then it can be pretty funny when people take it seriously. Still out of context could be a problem, but I have yet to see it on this forum with the notable exception of Kwaad. And excellent job being reasonable, and no, this isn't sarcastic even though I've now said this twice. Everything is better when people understand that the internet is an international forum with many people having English as a second language. EDIT: I guess I spoke too soon. Just assume I was really being sarcastic as maturity has gone out the window.

And to make you look like less of a moron, let me correct your terrible grammar. suk_my_wii said: So we’ve heard diar, you really do think your clever don’t you and who the hell uses insensate anyways keep posting I love reading them. That's a litte better. Learn to spell.
Except you still didn't correct "think your clever" to "think you're clever." Don't bash people's grammar, correct it for them, flaunt it, and then still get it wrong hehe.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I can read inbetween the lines, but it as been said before it is hard to detect sarcasm online, this is because you can't tell clearly if the person meant it as a joke or not. ^^^ For sure don't correct someones grammar. That comma should be a period. When you finish a thought, you use a period, not a comma. I suppose your entire life is a comma right DIAR? The Wii outsold, and continues to outsell the 360 since launch.

I use insensate quite often, especially in insensate forum threads!

The Wii has been outsold by the 360 in the USA. Go get the numbers.

It's pointless to argue about sales figures at this point. You are correct, the Wii has been outsold by the 360 in the USA. It has been out for more than a year, and would have been a failure as a console were this not the case. For the last two weeks of November and all of December, it outsold the wii month-to-month - primarily due to the unavailability of the Wii in light of its demand. Nintendo did produce a number of consoles prior to launch, so this is quite interesting. The sales of the Wii increased in January beyond both the PS2 and 360, and the ongoing shortage of Wii consoles in retail locations suggests a continuing high sales trend. Given the impending increased shipments due to Nintendo producing more hardware, there's a good chance that sales will increase shortly. I'm sure this information sounds familiar. We know that the Wii has continuously been out of stock in most venues, much like the 360 was for its launch. The Wii is also being sold largely based on its launch titles. For this reason, the most valid comparison we have at this point would be Wii sales over the past 3 months vs. the 360's first 3 months. That's quite a favorable comparison for the Wii, even given US sales alone. The Wii also contended with the near-simultaneous launch of the PS3, which makes its high sales figures even more interesting. This can be ignored for the sake of this discussion, but it is worth mentioning. (This is not a knock against the PS3, mind you, but a simplification.)

I love how he completely ignores the grammar remark now that he has been put in his place. I don't care if the Wii was outsold for 2 months when the market was saturated with 360 consoles. I care how the Wii does WW. You're utterly useless if you think outselling in a holiday period, when you have no supply issues, warrants a "360 ftw, omg outsold Wii" mentality. Dumbass.

DIAR said: rendo said: The Wii has been outsold by the 360 in the USA. Go get the numbers.
That's irrelevant. The 360 has been out for a year, has a large library of games and has no more supply constraints. The Wii is brand new, has only a handfull of good games and is almost impossible to find. It would be relevant if you compared it to first January sales, just like this article did. Of course if you judge by first Janurary sales, then it's unfair to the box of X, as supply constraints were much tighter. Either way, you can observe that the Wii has had the highest ever sales for it's first January without being a fanboy. It is just an objective statement after all.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
