Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will we see a translucent DS?

The Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, and even the N64 all had translucent models.

Does anyone think Nintendo will release a translucent DS Lite in the future?

Aaaw, dude. I'd so buy that :O

But, no. I do not think there will be a translucent DS.

it looks weird, but cool! by the way: not a real image ...

I think it would give away too much of the inside uglyness..

but......hmm..no sorry..a no go for me.. I like the Lite look too much...just wish there were more special DS Lites on sale..

not bundles..

There's nothing wrong with translucent models... It gives the user a simple lesson in electronics!

I think that would be really cool, but I don't know if it would ever happen.

I am trying to make my blue translucent and in the process bricking the top screen.
Damn ribbon so easy to break.

In the process of buying new screen along with tools to repair. The whole thing cost me half a DS. :(

I wouldn't recommend replacing your case unless you're good with modding.

The DS innards are quite... tight.

i love my translucent gamecube controllers....

but i would go out and buy a new DS just for that though.

Bet With routsounmanman: By the end of Q1 2008 Capcom WONT have announced a RE5 Wii Edition OR a new RE (classic gameplay) for the Wii (WON)

nah, same chances of Apple bringing out a translucent iPod I'd say, it just doesnt go eith Nintendos new style.

I agree, the whole new flat gloss finish looks great, why change what works, i think the see through DS shown above looks weird.
