Forums - Sony Discussion - Secret Hit taken out on Sony's PLAYSTATION 3!

Clicked on thread, noticed OP was another forevercloud3000 conspiracy theory, didn't read the rest.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

All companies get sued, yes. This comes with the territory of owning a business. All companies on the other hand, do not get barraged with random and down right ludicrous law suites one right after another. They also do not all point to a specific invention that a company makes. These lawsuites are directly singling out the PS3 as the target. They all seek to hinder the PS3 in some way.

4 lawsuites all in a 1.5 year span, aimed at the same product, when a particular company stands to gain the world on it, is NOT coincidence.
MS is EEEEEVVVVVVVIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL!!!!!!! They want to kill SONY!

M$ can't kill Sony. The worst they can do is get sony to quit the video game business which is highly unlikely considering their past success in the industry. Sony makes more than videogames, I hope you realize that. M$ doesn't compete with Sony Studios, Sony Eriksson or Sony Electronics. In fact, both companies co-operate in the PC industry.

Sry. I don't watch football and have no freaking clue who Jim Brown is. Never heard of him before in my life. I just find him stupid as he is suing Sony and EA.

I don't watch football either.

Jim Brown is widely considered the greatest professional football player to ever live. He is unquestionably the most successful running back of all time.

He was also an extremely important figure in the black civil rights movement, which makes him considerably more important than his stellar sports record would.

I'm from the UK, and therefore, not only do I not watch American Football, I also think it is a game for girly-boys that are too soft to play rugby. I still know who Jim Brown is though.

Apart from being a noted sportsman and civil rights activist, his greatest contribution is playing Slammer in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka! (not to mention Slaughter, Black Gunn, and Fireball in The Running Man, among others).

As American Football legends go, he is second only to the awesomeness of Fred Williamson (Black Caesar).

See, this is what I mean.

It does not matter from where you hail, or what sport you prefer, or whether or not you even prefer sports.

Jim Brown: mighty bad-ass.

If I spot a likeness to myself in the crowd of a sports game, can I sue?

i smell microshaft i mean microsoft around here

@hazonThe Razor, the settled early in the ruble suit sony thought they could winand stuck it out until they lost in court, the case for the ea/sony thing has to due with sonys royalties for that years madden

MS got out of the lawsuite for rumble. I even said this one might have been Sony's own damn fault. But after MS got out of it they purchased 10% of Immersion, in hopes of using Immersion against Sony by hindering them from having rumble. That is why MS was SO pissed when Immersion gave it to them anyway, so they sued them.

You do not sue someone for how much money someone has made on a stolen product, you sue them BECAUSE they stole the product. EA,Sony,MS, and even Nintendo are all equally as guilty, if at all. For them to single out sony....at this time.......when Sony is most financially vulnerable is nothing less then a vendetta.

Think about it people. We all know about the huge hit Sony has been taking for all PS3s sold. They are DEEP in the Red. These lawsuites come at "just the right time" to really effect Sony.

MS feels if they cannot win the console war fair and square, they will just force Sony to bankruptcy. They know this is struggling time for Sony so they send barrage of redundent law suites, all aiming at Sony's biggest deal right now, the PS3.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

Ask people who play both Football and Rugby.

Football even with the padding is a much harder, tougher damaging sport.

Take a look at the difference between career spans in the NFL and Rugby leagues.
