Not bad, how much did Monster Hunter sell in that time period?

Pokemon Platinum = roughly 1m-1.2m units (in 4 days)

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 G = 857k units (in 4 days)

I still don't understand how a expansion sells so fast

because when you're one of the most successful franchises of all time, you can sell that fast.

I think the game she mentioned was Pokemon Ranger 2 for the DS that would be released this year

Pokemon Platinum has sold an impressive amount (1-1.2m) compared to Diamond and Pearl did their first four days (1.6m).

the DS has been a beast in cultivating the Pokemon brand's renewed success.

i think the reason people find it less appealing is that with something like this people will never like a smuch the original. im most cases peoples faveorite pokemon will be the ones in red/blue and they wont connect to the ones in the later titles as much. however platinm will be the first time thta some gamers get that magical felling. I think people lose that as they get older or at least it becomes somehting different. i still remember the first time i played pokemon red, spent ages in the viridian forest trying to get a pikachu

I expected nothing less. Pokemon is a phenomenal game.

Now....what if Monster Hunter was on the DS.
