Forums - Nintendo Discussion - If Wii Music becomes successful, Nintendo will go completely casual

No although I neglect the existence of the word of casual gamer... I see your point. But that doesn't make it right haha.

Actually mainstream games sell the best and they are not limited to the "casual" or "hardcore" labeling considering usually they are just a game accepted by both . Ninty will never go full casual because they have too many mainstream games such as Mario and Pokemon that will continue to sell loads more than many of any casual series game they can make.

Now considering your known for bad jokes I hope this is another one or otherwise ignorance is becoming more prevalent on this forum. I'm not defending Wii Music because we all know i'm indifferent to the title, but I'm really getting tired of this beating of the dead horse. Wii Music won't sell as well as Wii Fit and Ninty after Wii Fit has become more focused on their core games so I don't see why this shift would happen... but you probably don't know either.

Always assume that Rol is not serious, you will be right 95% of the times.

I can't tell if your sarcastic or not.
I really don't want Wii Music to be a success but I doubt that it will make Nintendo only go casual, still I'm not sure if your joking,if so your doing a good job at it.

Here are the three main reasons why it's going to happen. If you are too lazy to read, just skip down to the summary.

1. Casual games sell a lot, while core games don't

Everybody knows how much casual games like Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit and Mario Party 8 have sold, while core franchises like Metroid Prime, Batallion Wars II and Wario Land sold much less in comparison, some would even consider them to have bombed. Other examples of failed games include this, this, this and this.

I discovered the secret message. You can't fool me. I reported you for insulting members.

I never actually checked those links. I guess Rol pulled off a Squilliam (x360 doomed thread) on us. Still he mentions that such games take up years and resources to develop when there is much more profit with wii sports, fits, musics, dances, parties and shouts LMAO.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

This is probably the best thread ever about Wii-music and how this game alone will ruin the industry :)

Who cares about the amount of money needed to make a HD game, the prices of the dev kits, the prices of the consoles, Wii music is the real disease...

Nice try slipping this one in.  You're trying to convince us Mario Kart Wii is core, correct?  Unfortunately, that link did not get by me... Mario Kart Wii is casual.  Throw it in with the rest of the Wii series.

Et tu, Zucas?

With you, Rol, I don't know what to say. I can't determine whether you're sarcastic or serious.

The bold.

Just look at the games he links to that he says are failures.  And point number two.

I don't think I have ever seen a serious thread started by Rol.

Wow, Rol still has it. I thought no-one was going to even bother taking this thread serious.

When I looked at the games I was like "wtf is this guy on"?...

I had another doubt of him being serious here: "The only reason Nintendo ever made these games were to get great ratings from critics"

But damn he can make his sarcasm sound serious :P
