No it will most likely not. Resistance was a launch game and the only Ps3 game worth playing for half a year. (Motorstorm was killed by missing splitscreen) Besides it was heavily bundled.

Resistance2 will do very good but 5 million sounds a bit too much to me. I would think Killzone2 has a better chance of making that number.

This game should blow all other shooters this year out of the water. And then we have Killzone 2!

hmm, I wonder if the guy who works at one of my local Gamestop's is there. He was pretty Pro PS3 and got me jealous when he said he's played Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, and many other games because he's a Gamestop Manager.

I would imagine the visuals were going to improve, but I want to see some pictures and videos!

Good to hear, Resistance 2, Killzone 2 and God of War 3 are my most anticipated games.

Technically it shouldn't be hard for Insomniac to go well beyond Gears of War 1 & 2 at this point from various perspectives. Artistically and regarding game approach it's all a matter of personal taste of course.

I know that every Ps3 for months after launch in Europe had Motorstorm and Resistance included. (Mine for example) I have no numbers though.

I don't remember R2 being bundled in the US. As far as I remember it was Motorstorm tht got bundled.

 

I don't know the Unreal Engine has what 50 developers who do nothing but develop the engine and effects? That's an advantage that is hard to neutralize with slightly more powerful hardware and exclusivity for a small team who develop one AAA game a year.

If you think so than you are wrong. First Resistance & Motorstorm bundle was introduced in around 5th month of PS3 life in Europe. It didn't last that long and didn't move too much games. Going by vgchartz Resistance didn't sell more than 150k in that timeframe.

The second bundle was introduced with 40GB debut as a fire sale bundle for 60 GB model. Bundle costed 500 euro and was quite succesful but didn't last too long as 60GB stock depleted quickly. It didn't sell more than 200k.
