I actually did this for the first week, combined with a few expert picks, and my own thoughts on the teams' play style. Mostly because I haven't payed any attention to football other than the Eagles, and it will take a few weeks before I can figure out how each team is really playing.

I'll be posting my picks probably on Friday or Saturday in this thread. I think it's better to post & pm, that way everyone can see what you picked.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Woot, I won the first week! Though, I had 11 wins before the last 2 games and I lost on both of those, haha. The Raiders let me down! I have to pick against them this week. Go 49ers! (though they'll probably lose, I still picked them )

The post-season matches themselves will be dealt with like any other week, and I don't really want to overlap that with picking the winners/losers of those matches now, so I think we'll just keep it simple and do the above.

@Bardic - I'm a Raiders and a Dolphins fan, I got no love for the Broncos :P. The reason for the Denver pick is its possible implications on the AFC West (possible 0/2 Chargers and 2/0 Broncos :o).

@nextgreatchamp - That's what I intend to do (just like last week). Each week I'll post mine here and I won't edit them after they've been posted, so anyone can note them down as soon as I post them up if they want.

 

Fair nuff. Though AFC West hasn't really brought any challengers to the superbowl in years. I think the last one was the Raiders in 02. Probably the weakest division out there =)

I didn't really check out any of the power rankings or anything. I just based my picks off of how I think they'll do. Sometimes I'll make a pick based on how a team plays in Madden 09, haha. Last year I pretty much only played with the 49ers in my games, but this year I've been trying out more teams to get a feel for them, hehe

You doubt the inferiority of the NFC West??? (Though the Seahawks still manage to do ok) Oh and Go 49ers!

I cheated a bit and looked at the expert picks on ESPN.  Only 3 of them have picked minus the Accuscore.  I had trouble with a few of the games because I had no clue.
