Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Princess Peach, Kirby, Snake and Captain Olimar. In that order. The definition of ''main'' for me doesn't apply anymore in this game (compared to Melee I mean).
Specifications:
-Ganondorf: He's a bit slower in this game than in Melee, but once you learn that you can't ''rush'' with him this time around, he's a pretty good defensive character if you're quick with the Perfect Shield and his many close-ranged combos.
-Captain Falcon: Once again, he's a bit harder to control in this game (Luigi's SMB 2 gravity, huh?). He's got far enough range with his many kicks, and that Grab+Down and Ultimate Knee of Justice combo is amazing once pulled out perfectly. Works 4 times out of 5 most of the time!
-Samus: Ever heard about TGM's combo? It's amazing for long-ranged characters, makes them stop spamming their annoying B attacks (stupid Zelda, Wolf, Falco and Pit). After that, play with her many kick and charges, good recovery rate.
-Zero Suit Samus: She's just so good, and you can pull out so many combos with her. Try to get her Meteor Smash to work, it's deadly! I have to say I hate he short range grab though (like Samus'...).
-Princess Peach: Oh my god, she's just so good (and cute in her red dress, hehe)! Best move with her is the aerial A (no directions pressed). Little faints with the gliding+A is also very good! ^^
-Kirby: He's back and better than ever (just like in SSB for the N64, he was a good alongside Ness)! You can't play bad with him, or if you feel pissy, just spam his back aerial+A, or his Air Cutter to make those long-ranged characters shit in their pants! Also, since he's a grinder type of character, shield breaks occure more often since people don't expect that the attacks (run+A, aerial down+A) will last so long!
-Snake: Hehe, his back aerial+A attack is unpredictable, his down+A attack on the ground is deadly (long ranged too), his up aerial+A is even better... Man, Snake is a real beast! Don't forget to stick a mine on your opponent! ^^
-Captain Olimar: Most underrated character ever. Is aerial+A (no directions) is a good grinding move, followed by a down Smash. Grab often, and use that Up+B move to strike your foes to their nearest death! I just love to throw Pikmins at people, and then they keep rolling, and that's when you make use of that advantage!
Sure, I also play with all the cheap characters like Meta Knight, Pit, Zelda, Ivysaur and Wolf, but it's too easy to win with them (seriously, what were they thinking downgrading most of the Melee characters and make these newcomers, except Zelda, the best characters ever, especially Meta Knight?). Ike is not cheap, he's so predictable, even when you play against a person that knows how to play fast with him.
