Kyros said: How stupid is to say LBP is innovative. How is it innovative?
Wow testres you should really try to not make such ridiculous statements. It makes you look so fanboyish. I think even normal Wii fans will agree that LBP is one of the most innovative titles this year. A co-op Jump&Run that is build around creating your own worlds? The use of physics to govern all object interactions in your levels? Online sharing of levels. The look/sackboys etc. The combination makes for a truly unique and charming game. I am more into generic FPS (lol) and I don't know if it will shatter sales but come on stop being such a fanboy. |
Ok i will summarize what you say is innovative about LBP.
A Co-op platformer
Create your own levels
Share those levels online
Uses Physics
Graphics style / art style.
Ok co-op platformer game? already been done...Donkey Kong Country way back on the SNES
Create your own levels? Been doing it on PC for decades, many console games have this feature now.
Share those levels? Wii games have been doing this for a while with Smash Bros and Blast Works (you can design your own bosses, backgrounds, even enemies as wel las your own vehicle), online as well.
Uses Physics - what game doesn't use physics?
Art style - yeah because the way a game looks makes it innovative? Better give high props to Metroid Prime 3, Okami, Galaxy, and Zelda then.
LBP isn't innovative, it's creative, but not innovative. I'm not saying it sucks, but to say it's innovative and full of new ideas is pretty ridiculous.
Also i agree that The Conduit is getting too much hype for it's own good. It's gotten to the point where this isn't the Halo of 2001 people are going to go nuts. I'm excited that the graphics and controls are fantastic, but good controls doesn't directly translate into great gameplay, I hope that the game will be good but i'm still skeptical.
