The majority of the people on this site say that the Xbox 360 is going to sell 23 million by this time. Don't you think this is a pretty low estimate? Only 2.53 million more until 23 million, and we have 4 months of the year left, with two of them being holiday months. The price cut has been announced for NA and Japan.

Let's throw some numbers out there... lets say the 360 only sells an average of 120,000 per week for the rest of the year. There is 18 more sales weeks on VGchartz left until the end of the year. So 120,000 X 18 = 2.16 million. That leaves us with 370,000 left to reach 2.53 million. This is without factoring in the holidays or even the price cut.

Does anybody else think this is a horrible prediction? And if you made these predictions on the current poll, please stand up and explain yourself.

Don't get me wrong Xen. I am not a 360 fanboy of any sort. I own all three systems, I just think that this is a very narrowminded prediction by many members of this site. I am not trying to rag on anybody, and I am not trying to start any sort of pissing contest, I'm just wondering what the logic behind these predictions are.

It could have been Nintendo Fanboys, or PC fanboys for MS stealing all of their exclusives :P

Well, i belive betwen 25 or 25.5 millions like my sig says.

My logic is the PS3 overshadowing the 360 in Japan and Others, making the 360 sell mainly in the USA. The 360 is cheap in Europe - and still doesn't sell well... and no cuts are gonna help the system in Japan, just games (don't know how well IU does). I did screw up with my Wii predict though. Sorry for taking a swing at you.

Sorry, I must have not stated it correctly. I didn't mean that they were all Sony fanboys at all. It seems like a large portion might have been, but by no means is it all fanboys.

Like I said, I just want to see what the logic behind the predictions was when they made that decision.
