This was about JRPG exclusives more so then Exclusives in general. He is obviously a JRPG fan and is letting it be know that JRPG do not make great sales as they did on PS consoles, this is completely true. Enchanted Arms is the only real JRPG on both 360 and PS3 right now. The PS3 version came some months later, yet still managed to squeeze out more sales then the 360 version(and that game was terrible might I add). Imagine what it would be like for a big name title, like FF, or WKC, or VC. They will sell out like hot cakes on the PS3, at least more then a 360 equal would sell. The PS3 fans simply are more fond of JRPGs then the 360's audience, regardless of install base.

The sooner developers realize this the sooner the quality 3rd Party JRPGs can begin.

I get your point but I don't understand...what is the problem with more multiplats? Do you have any idea how much more a game like Gears would sell if it was also released on PS3? Just like I wasn't pissed about DMC, AC, and FFXIII, I don't see why games going multiplat is a bad thing at all.

DMC & soul cal are about same  these games are doing well at launch and well after

I think the same could be said (sales wise) of any non-multiplat game; for instance IF MGS4 HAD (NOT starting the MGS4 is coming to 360 thread again) gone multiplat, what do you think the sales would have been?  PLEASE, please, I'm not suggesting it is, that thread is TOTALLY worn out.

 

 

 im sure it would of added a couple more millions to the sale ! but still 360 cant handle such a game

If you consider the 360 had 12 months (15 in Europe) longer on the market and had 7m units on the market before the PS3 even hit, then the PS3 compares very favourably.

 It was around 5 million. Pretty much the same like today

Comparing the internaly developed games for the 360 to the internaly developed games for the PS3 , i'd say that Sony would be less effected if all developers had a policy of multiplatform releases. Obviously with moneyhatts and publishing deals that won't be the case.

 

Heavenly Sword was slated for an Xbox 1 release.

Insomniac is 2nd party.

Insomniac has stated that some of Sony's development teams are starting to develop closer relationships and are sharing technology and ideas. Naughty Dog also credits various first- and second-party developers of Sony in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

 

Considering Insomniac's relationship with Sony , the fac t that they've only ever made Playstation titles , they're as close to interal development as you can get without actualy being internal development. They might as well be considered internaly developed because none of their games are likely to apear on another platform...ever.
