I might as well chime in.
No one has chimed on the track record of OPM on rumors. If it is 10%, we are wasting a lot of bandwidth. If it is 90%, a lot of Wii backers better get some seasoning for the crow they will eat.
That all being said, it makes little sense for this title to be exclusive. It could be HD/Wii, it could be PS2/Wii. It could even be HD-only (though I personally think that would not be the wisest).
Also, one thing people are missing with the "director is god-like" notes is that these are business decisions. Firms have to maximize profits for stockholders. And there are two large entities (SE and Disney) involved. Quite frankly, Disney brings more unique items to the table here (SE can make RPGs and adventures but so can others. But no one else gives you Goofy and Donald Duck).
We will find out in good time where this game goes and when it will be released and if it ever will exist (which is not 100% certain).
Finally, for those talking about increasing PS3 user base, remember that Wii generally outsells both HD consoles combined -- so its userbase is increasing by an even larger amount.
I will not lose any sleep over this. I think a version should come to the Wii -- but then again I own a Wii. But more to the point, how many more Disney franchises can really be wedged into a game. It is nearing a "Captain Rainbow" point.
Maybe SE does a version with Disney for HD consoles and then does a Nintendo-themed KH-like game for the Wii. Think of it as the Subspace Emissary (which is at heart a the Kirby platform game) crossed with FF.
