I don't mind. It's better than sitting by watching a cut scene, I guess. They're a little overused, but I pretty much know the controller to the point where I neved get them wrong unless I want to.

I think action sequences are cool, but quick time events can be annoying depending on the game :)
God of War does it well, but games like The Force Unleashed just feel tacked on.
The annoying thing about the battle in SWTFU, is that the QTE's pop up out of no where, and usually at a time where I am busy mashing Square, and the QTE wants me to hit X, which means that I fail the QTE the first time around, almost every single time!
I generally don't mind QTE's, except when they come out of nowhere (like in Uncharted, a total of what, 5 sequences through out the game?)
they feel epic if done right.
kh 2 found a way to do them that isn't annoying and it you fail it doesn't fuck up your game.
i think it is good when they give you a choice to do them or not like in god of war chains of olympus you could do them or just bash the guy but it tends to be easier if you do the qte in god of war
ya i think developers do it for cinematics
PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E
Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.
My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

Mashing the triangle button constantly to get through those QTE was probably the stupidest implementation of the QTE I've ever seen. No skill involved whatsoever. That being said I love KH 1 and 2. =P God of War is the only game where I've really enjoyed the QTE's.
Quick Time Events....ugh
I hate them. Spiderman 3 was the worst offender for this crime. An entire boss battle played using this technique! Just plain wrong!
