It's all jealousy!

maybe for some, but not for me. i never really like pc controls with da keyboard and mouse, and i know i can actually get a controller, but why would i do that when in my opinion most of da good games r on consoles and i can play beautiful games on a beautiful 1080p tv?plus i never have really liked any controller until i met up with da dualshock, playstation controllers.

Keyboard and Mouse allow for far greater control and more versatility.

Actually most "good games" are on the PC, along with hundreds of others that never get ported to the Consoles, WoW, Starcraft, Diablo II et al say hi.

Do you know what most, if not all Computer monitors resolution is? I dont think you do...

Why are you afraid of typing out "are", "you" and "the"?

Anywho, I would never want PC gaming to die, as that is just another platform for games to come out on. Besides that, as long as computers are needed in the home there will be games on those computers. When my PS3 or 360 or Wii can do word processing then, maybe PC gaming will die.

only 1 person has ever told me that a keyboard and mouse r better besides u, and personally i think controllers r better for da same reasons u think keyboards and mice r better. i feel more comfortable using a controller.

and no, ur right, i dont know wat most computer monitors resolution r....please do tell. although i can tell u 1 thing most, if not all computer monitors r not 50" or more which is something i like...dont ask me why, i just like da bigger screens.

Some games originated on the PC and are best suited for a keyboard and mouse.  Shooters and RTS games are top on that list.  Platformers, sports games like Madden, action games like Devil May Cry, as well as other traditional console games are made for the console control scheme and handle better with a controller.  You may be more comfortable with a controller, but that doesn't mean that it is the ultimate control scheme for all things gaming.  Shooters are often made for consoles these days, but I've never met anyone who has played both that says that console shooters handle better.  The same thing goes for RTS games.

There are lots of different types of gaming out there, no one control scheme is the best for all of them.

As for PC monitors, they are generally offered in a 16x10 resolution.  So, 1080p is 1920x1080 while the equivalent PC monitor is 1920x1200.  Big TV screen are nice, but they generally also do not have the same fast response time as computer monitors since they are designed to primarily display television programming and movies which do not require much.  For those used to quick response times for online shooters, the slower big screen TVs can be irritating.

I give that post a 9.3.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

PC gaming is killing PC gaming, so I don't even think it matters what console owners think. At least things like Steam are keeping the hemorrhaging less severe.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I would rather console gaming to die than pc gaming.

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

I dont get why anyone would want PC gaming to die, aside from console fanboyism. Is there any legit reason? PC is where they push technological envelopes, and PC gaming played a huge part in popularizing online gaming.

Like some people sayd about keyboard and mouse being better it depends on the type of game. I love the keyboard and mouse, but i will pick up a controller for platformers but everything else good old keyboard and mouse.

Profcrab already talked about resolution which I will totally agree upon. Most newer lcd monitors are technically 1080p capable. Its just the size of the actually tv is what you want.

Though you saying that reaching a cable from computer to a tv is probably the same cost or cheaper then hdmi cables for a 360 or PS3 unless its quite the distant.

And of course, HTPCs are becoming more popular, so having a PC as part of the home theater is becoming more common. I do my PC gaming on a 46" plasma and because of this I keep putting off buying a 360 or PS3 since most of the games worth playing come to PC anyway (and I can be a graphics whore and run the games at 1920x1080 natively if I stick to PC :P).

Keyboards and Mice are sold for consoles primarily for the web browser use and chat programs. Sometime the console K&Ms don't even work on the shooters.

I prefer consoles over PC. PS3 FTW.

It's b/c devs lose money on PC titles and/or make $20 more on console ones. Look at the cost of development. It's all about the $$$. Trust me, devs are squealers and the tv there is a squealer. I'm a man of my word.

no, because then we wont have games like spore
