So 47k+ people don't follow the Internet and aren't aware of next price drop *OR* they are all price-matching the difference in two weeks. I think people are just idiots, and MS is banking on that.

Unless the Arcade becomes abnormally popular in a few weeks, I can't see the price drop doing much more than the price drop on the Pro did a few weeks ago.  The Pro is usually Microsoft's best selling SKU, followed by the Elite, if I recall correctly.

Also, school is starting in many places so one would expect a sales dip barring any major events, like new models, price cuts, games, etc.
