"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

That is a lot of RPG's.

I hadn't realized just how many point-n-clicks were coming this way. Yeah!

Some suggestions for the point & click section:

Picture for Broken Sword

Secret Files: Tunguska can be removed from the list (it's out in PAL & NA) and replaced by Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis.

Sam & Max Season 2 should really be added to the list.

I want atleast 30 of those games....That's 1200$ right there(40$ pricetag)

Damn and I thought it was only 500$ for me to spend on Wii games this year.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

With what few hardcore experiments have come out recently bombing its unlikely we'll ever see the Wii get any major third party support beside MH3 which I'm sure Capcom is regretting now. Your core audience has already adopted the 360/PS3 as their consoles of choice, the Wii has lost the momentum it had at generation's beginning and starved of games long enough all the core and hardcore gamers have dumped it.

All we can do now is watch as developers one by one make games that undersell or bomb on the HD consoles and laugh bitterly that the consoles they helped make the mainstays of this generation starve them of money and profits. With the Wii no longer a possible alternative for 360/PS3 sales they can't go back either. This generation has become a shit sandwich and everyone's going to have to take a bite.

Its too late to write off the wii yet i'd say.

Games like monster hunter and DQ X are going to sell tons of units  and consoles which essentially locks up japanese support.

The only thing left waiting for is western publishers like EA, Activision and Ubisoft. The Conduit, Madworld and Dead Space will help them to decide where to go. Keep in mind that no one assumed that Deadly Creatures or Tenchu were going to light up the sales charts.
