Forums - Gaming Discussion - In your opinion, what makes a game more memorable: Graphics or Music

For me, music makes the game 10 times more memorable. What is your opinion?

Now you're playing with power!
Now you're playing with power. Super Power!
Now you're playing with power. Portable Power!

Excellent graphics (tech) can give a wow factor for the first go

Excellent graphics (art) can give a wow factor every time you replay the game

Excellent music (tech) isn't really noticable to me (mono speaker on small TV)

Excellent music (score) Can be very memorable and have you singing tunes from the game without realising... I constantly catch myself sining tunes from Windwaker even though I haven't played it in a while... same for Galaxy and Twilight Princess

teh 1337 grafix

Most definitely music (both good and bad)

For me neither of those two. It would be gameplay for me.

However seeing as how i have to choose between the two I'd go for music.
I still find myself remembering the theme tune from M.U.L.E while good graphics come and go

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

A good mixture is always the best, but i do agree gameplay and fun is most important, look at No more Heroes.

Music by far.

I like "dancing" on the couch while playing, and that's not possibly without good music.

That might be the reason I prefer Nintendo games to other games - they have so damn much better music.

In fact, I believe that Nintendo is the best music publisher in the world. :P

Music!
With the years{months}the wow effect for graphics fades slowly away.
But a great melody can be catchy for years{decades}to come.
In this very moment i am whistling Secret of Manas intro theme{the one with the flamingos flying in front of the Manatree}. XD

Tempus fugit Nintendo manet.

As far as these two are concerned, I'm going to have to say graphics. Good music is nice to have, but I'm so unmusical that I never notice it before someone points it out to me.

Any idiot (like me) can appreciate pretty pictures, though. =P
