Great, a game looking good on on all consoles!
Higher numbers of players online does not translate into a greater online experience. Smaller numbers can allow for different feel.

I'm inclined to agree with you somewhat, but 8 players is pretty damn sparse. If the maps really are the same, trying to fill out a map designed for 32 players with only 8 is going to feel pretty desolate. And what happens when people strart dropping out of an 8 player match? Lose two people on one team and the remaining two are outnumbered two to one!

24 players is about my sweet spot. 16 is a good minimum, while 32 is getting to be too crowded.

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

It says 8 minimum, so hope is not extinguished.
The right number of people online is dependent on the type of map and gameplay. Ultimately, the type of game; small, kind of tactical, squad games like Gears revolve around a smaller number. While the more frentic shooters with larger maps have more players, this include many FPS's stretching all consoles, including Wii, 360, and PS3

Summary, numbers should be based on type of game.

I don't know if I'll pick it up.. I don't like shooters much =/

Guys it says at least 8 players online. That doesn't mean that it wont have more then that, its probably saying the smallest room will for 8 people, the largest will probably go up to 16.

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Xman, halogamer, why the fuck did you Xbots come here in the 1st place....

to sound like big shots cause you are playing on a more powerful system or something? That matters I guess. /sarcasm.

that's why the 360 is failing now.

Ot: I am sooo getting this and the Ps3 version at the same time. The Ps3 version for the online, the Wii version for the online and controls. (controls are the major factor in a shooter for me.)

Our default control sensitivity has a dead zone and look sensitivity that is very flexible and intuitive, and designed so that anyone can pick up the control and have an enjoyable game experience. Beyond that, we offer customization of the dead zone size and sensitivity, the turning speed, and adjusting the speed of acceleration of the crosshairs” - producer

- Online multiplayer is the same as PS3/360. Same maps, modes, vehicles.
- dedicated maps for vehicles
- at least 8 playerr
- uses Nintendo WFC
- no online co-op reconfirmed
- Squad Mate Mode: adds another crosshair to the screen so a second player can help shoot
- “We are using the same engine as the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. While the Wii console itself has no hardware shaders, we do a diffuse and alpha pass on the textures. We retain many of the particle effects and explosion effects from the engine, and do this all with a good framerate. All of this means that we’re able to achieve a high level of graphical quality for the Wii.” - producer

I could be wrong, but isn't this what the TEV unit is for?

Posted my post before I could post it.

True, the Wii doesn't do the sahders the same way as Xbox, X360 and PS3 does them but it most certainly can do shaders via the TEV.

@Kenology ok maby i'm wrong about MP but mario galaxy uses it and what about that article from factor 5 that prove wii has hardware shaders.

Yeah, Wii can def do shaders.  Mario Galaxy uses them quite well.
