^ and all he wanted was a working console and his discs refunded or reimbursed.

Eh, who actually cares??

End of '08 predictions (made by theprof00): PS3: 20m, 360: 23.5m, wii: 42m

Now Playin':  PS3|Resistance 2, LBP, Uncharted and Fifa 09, PSP| Ratchet and Clank: Size matters, 360| Gears of war 2 and Fallout 3.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

As a counterpart, to show that MS (NL Division) is not all doom and gloom:

I had a broken Xbox 360 (in the Netherlands obviously or this would be pointless) which was out of warranty and had a non-RROD defect (Basically the DVD drive decided to blow up on me. Made a scary noise too - for a second there I thought Mass Effects soundfx where getting a tad too realistic!).

Microsoft repaired (ok, replaced more likely - it has a different serial number) the Xbox for me free of charge and apologized profusely for the trouble. It's still working as of today so I'm happy enough.

I will add that it's often how you treat customer service that makes all the difference. If you stay calm and polite you usually get what you need, but if you start being an a-hole don't expect the other side to care about your problems.

here you go

lol. The kid moved the 360 while playing. When the disc drive is uber fast like the 360's it's going to scratch your disc....

But if this isn't the problem for others, MS really need to get this fixed =/

Theres no wonder his 360s died. The one in the video is extremely poorly ventilated

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I hope the kid tells his friends and I am glad he is spread the word. The court of public opinion on an issue like this is often as important as what the actual courts say.

M$ was very efficient when I had trouble with mine. They looked up my registration info and sent me a box. Quite simple and painless.

Sucks, he will waste his time...even if he wins.

@ Geldorn

Basically the DVD drive decided to blow up on me.

What? You mean the disc or the drive itself?

you stay calm and polite you usually get what you need, but if you start being an a-hole don't expect the other side to care about your problems.

Depends on company policy, I always stay calm. The support staff are only following instructions (often just a student earning a little cash next to his education).

Is it even legal for a 13 y/o to sue a company in the Netherlands?

Also, why is it that you only post news to attack MS, MikeB?

because microsoft does alot of stuff that is negative so it isnt hard to come across this kind of information about that company mikeb is just posting the news for anyone who has missed it
