Forums - Gaming Discussion - New Tales games for DS and Wii

According to last information of the Net, Namco should announce the next week new Tales of Phantasia 2 on Nintendo DS carried out in 2d (which will be presented next Monday), a remake of Tales of the Abyss on Wii (shorter times of loading, more events, etc.) envisaged for May in Japan, and Tales of the Harmony on Wii, one following Tales of the Abyss, the history begins 10 minutes after the end of the first episode.

These are rumours, take these with a huge grain of salt, so that you won't be disppointed on monday.

Rumour also has it that JeuxFrance is one of the most reliable rumour machine out there. Here's the link, Kwaad: http://www.jeux-france.com/news19246_tales-of-sur-wii-et-nintendo-ds.html You will need babelfish though, unless your French is decent. There was a rumour a few eons ago of an Abyss port for the Gamecube, so a Wii port is almost inevitable. The sequel rumour is the one I'm watching.

Makes me very happy - I loved Tales of Symphonia for the GC :)

According to the last information from the Net, Namco should announce a new next week Tales of Phantasia 2 on Nintendo DS achieved in 2D (who will be presented next Monday), a remake of Tales of the Abyss on Wii (less long loading times, more of events, etc.) foreseen for the month of next May in Japan, and Tales of the Harmony on Wii, a continuation to Tales of the Abyss, history will begin 10 minutes after the end of the first episode. Nothing official at present. I discredit this source because they mention nothing about endlessness. Everyone is looking at one of the new tales for the PS3. Tales of Endlessness. Mmmm Why wasnt that one counted? It is OFFICAL that it will be announced next week. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3157233 Hmmm.

Are you sure it was an actual Tales of Endlessia game? I thought the 1Up author was poking fun at the naming scheme of the Tales Of franchise(endless stream of Tales of Game and the suffix -ia). I've searched high and low and there are no other sources saying that there is an announced Tales Of for the PS3. The real beef of the link is that Namco is going to announce a new game next week, but didnt say which one or which console.

It sounds like a great tales name to me... Dont see how that could be makeing fun of it. Better than some of them :p However With the new Sony-namco project... it wouldnt suprise me if it was PS3, as that's the platform to invest in for long-term. I couldnt tell you how many times I've read about WiiHD. I havent read about how soon will PS4 come. :P No-one doubts the PS3's longevity. You invest in optimizeing code for the PS3... you get to use that code for another 8 years. You invest in the 360 now... you got another 4 years. You invest in the Wii... who knows.

Well there is no announcement for PS4 yet, because sony has to wait until everyone announces theirs so they can overshadow their announcements like they always do. Plus they need time to copy everyone else, see give it a year or so. Also no one doubts the PS3's longevity? I do. WiiHD? Thats a joke just ignore such talk. "However With the new Sony-namco project... it wouldnt suprise me if it was PS3, as that's the platform to invest in for long-term." Again this is your opinion and it holds no merit as you lost all your credibility along time ago. How soon you forget that if you programmed for the Gamecube, the Wii is very simular. Cannot say that for the PS3 or Xbox360, so yeah you can spin anything anyone you want.

Exactly the Wii is VERY VERY similar. Infact, you could use the exact same engine and just put a new game on it in about a 18 month period for the mappers/artists/story to get put together. and BAM, there you have it, a new game every 18 months with less than 5 full time people, selling the game in the millions. And then I say. WTFBBQ, Reminds me of Sims. And never buy another game in that series, because I feel I'm getting ripped.
