It depends on the company how their mods relate to the company as a whole, some mods will be (very) low level employees who are there (mostly) to keep discussions civil whereas other companies will let active community members become mods.

On most (corporate) forums the importance of messages depends on who is giving them:

1. VP of Marketing
2. Developers
3. Community Manager
4. Community Representative
5. Paid Mod
6. Community Mod

If a mod says something which doesn't seem to fit with the corporate direction, or statements made by (just about) any other member of the company, then you should probably ignore the mod.

@megaman: If that was meant to reply my post, that's the thing what i'm meaning here. Instead of "random mods random thoughts on Capcom forum" it reads "Capcoms thoughts". If the mod isn't Capcoms official rep, they are not Capcoms thoughts.

The make very bad Wii games and with the money they earn from this games they make very good games for PS360!

its true though its what epic ubisoft valve square enix and now capcom being have been saying for ages.

since the demographic are so split, not all the games sell known games at much.

but new ip are likely to sell more on the ps360.

Man how did I know what this thread would be about before clicking the thread. When you actually have some evidence that Capcom hates the Wii I might be able to take you seriously. Until then I have to strongly urge you to either get over it or buy another system.

@Jo21: That's yet to be seen, since there haven't yet been similar new IP:s. Wii Sports, Wii Play and Wii Fit have done pretty good, but 3rd parties have yet to tap a game with similar legs. Assassins Creed sold well at the start, but stopped selling right after launch, Gears of War didn't do much better etc...
New IP:s sell better on PS360, only when the game is targeted for the specific audience. If it doesn't target them, it's very unlikely to sell. How did Uncharted do (a question, since i can't recall)? Or Viva Pinata.

The biggest diffence between new IP:s on Wii and PS360 is, that when it isn't going to be a million seller, the Wii game still makes profit and turns out to be a success (ie. the publishers take much more wiser route).

Please read it stop making assumptions, it doesn't make you cool. Get over it, I got my opinions and nowhere in this thread I said Capcom hated the Wii.

We're talking fanboys and mods and trolls -- just like here and everywhere else on the net.
This may or may not be Capcom's official position.

(I loved the part though where they said, we don't talk about new versions until the version of a game being worked on is done because then you'd see "confirmed" threads on line).

And it is very difficult trying to figure out what to do on the Wii. There are the "hardcore" players and the "Wii-hab" players. The 31M is very diverse.

But as time moves forward, we'll see what happens.
