Here is the latest preview of Little Big Planet from Leipzig.  I have highlighted some snippets for people who think this game will fail.

"Wonderfully, a recently revealed feature is the option to lip-synch your SackBoy when using a USB/Bluetooth headset with the PS3, making it appear as though your character is the one doing the talking."

"Succeeding in working together in passing obstacles or collecting those last elusive bits of Fluff is immensely satisfying gameplay, and failing in your objectives is hilarious – thanks to the physics and the personality of the SackBoys."

"Having played a four-player game with complete strangers and having a great laugh, I can state that LBP will arguably be the most entertaining co-op experience of the year."

"This game should have widespread appeal, and be one of the few Playstation 3 games that bridges the casual/hardcore divide. LittleBigPlanet may well be the Next Big Thing."

================

Two more things:

I have played this game and will be playing it again at PAX.  I can wholeheartedly agree with that preview, both pros and cons.  I don't post these articles often, but I think this one was inline with my impressions whole heartedly.  If anyone wants my detailed impressions, just let me know.

I see people on this forum constantly belittling, prejudging, and outright mocking Little Big Planet.  Most of these people do it out of an irrational hatred towards Playstation 3, however I feel like- I should put my two cents in.  I'll say this once: If you remember the magic you felt the first time you played any of the Mario games, you will get the same feeling when you play this game.  All you Wii owners, who are on the fence and fail to see any value in the Playstation 3, I think this will be the game  (and hopefully Ratchet Quest for Booty) to make you question its worth.  Without further ado, please read and respond.

Um...care to provide some links?

Little Big Planet is one of the few titles coming out that everyone seems to agree will be great. It is the game that people that do not own PS3's most often claim they want on their console.

Really, I am on the fence for purchasing a ps3. Although, i can't support my purchase of one for just two games: Little big planet and GT5., Maybe i'll jump in. down the road of that 10 year plan.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the best Zelda title ever made.

I want you to do me a favor before you go into a long arguement in this thread. I want you to go read every review you can find for Okami. I want you to look up the sales info on Okami next. Hopefully after that you will realize why some people are saying you shouldn't expect this game to be super huge just yet.

I definetely see alot of people being turned off by games like Killzone, Resistance, and Metal Gear. However,  there are a ton of wonderul platformers.  Ratchet Quest for Booty (and Future Tools of Destruction) has converted me, I'm sure someone can echo that sentiment.  Imagine Mario Galaxy with guns.  Its a really great game.  Also Uncharted is wonderful as well.

I just want to damn that saying "PS3 has no gamezz."  Its very obvious its launching titles, and launching them with finesse.

No...I want the link to substantiate this claim:

"I see people on this forum constantly belittling, prejudging, and outright mocking Little Big Planet. Most of these people do it out of an irrational hatred towards Playstation 3."

I want you to go do me a favor.  I want you to go find me one commercial of Okami.  Tell me one store that had Okami as a demo.  Find me preorder specials for Okami.  Show me promotional items for Okami.

Oh wait, you can't.

I purposefully didn't do that.  I don't want to start a flame war. I just want to inform people that the game is good.  If I have offended you, I apologize.

I have seen a thousand and one commercial for Warhawk and Ratchet and Clank as well and lets just glance at the sales numbers for those. A good game does not automatically mean huge sales. Just wait for it to be released and see how it does. Quircky titles are known for being critical smashes but commercial let downs. I don't have anything agains LBP but going over the top and hyping it as the next Mario is just ridiculous right now.
