@Ministaff: Yes it is. But in general the pricing used is 1:1 (30USD:30€). When the product comes to Finland, it's upped a little from the central-european price.
For example, we have:
Wii Remote 50€
Classic Controller 30€
Nunchuck 25€
Wii 269€
The price goes up a little due to diffent tax rates and since many countries have their local importers, the importers want their share too.

@dib8terman: The difference is, that with Wii Speak people around you can hear what the people are talking online. Keeping your own voice down won't prevent parents from hearing how the online people talk.
As you can see, the people who oppose the idea knows this and most propably are the people using bad language and be the ones that get silenced (by someone or their parents silence the people online).

And good to hear about local multiplayer. I still don't know which idiots decided that removing that feature was a good idea, but with any luck it'll get phased out soon.

Seems kinda expensive but meh no game I want is using Wii Speak so I wont be buying it when it comes out anyways.

What would be REALLY cool would be if they made a WiiSpeak channel (like Skype) that would play in the background no matter what you're playing, allowing you to chat with friends in current games like Brawl.

That's kinda pricey its a rip off of Playsation Eye/Eye Toy, but Wii Speak can't do video. (PSEye is $40.)

(FYI: You can talk through your PSEye.)
