There aren't more Nintendo fans here, just less Sony and MS fans. Sony and MS fans don't particularaly care for open forums like this, they like specialized forums typically dealing specifically with their product of choice, i.e. a Sony exclusive forum or a MS exclusive forum.

That's exactly it. Go check the majority of game forums and Sony and MS fans outnumber Nintendo fans. Stop with these BS theories like you have some kind of statistical info...

Not me. Still has no must have games. That is the most important part. Plus, price will need to be sub $300.

My conditions for getting a PS3 have always been:

$400 if I have an HDTV, have time to play more games, and it has several must-own games I want (probably FF13 and a couple others)

$300 for 2/3 of those factors

$200 for 1/3 of those factors

I was disappointed when they got rid of the 20GB model 'cause I would've definitely gotten that one over the 60GB one and it would probably be dropping to $400 next week if it still existed.

sadly, this $100 price drop does not put the PS3 into my price range... Even if the thing costed $250 I still would not buy it (lack of games).

For me, the issue isn't so much price point as preferance. If every console ever made was 30 bucks, they'd all be good deals, but I wouldn't go out and buy all of them.


Right now, the console that interests me most is the Wii, and I don't even have that yet. I will in a year probably, but not yet. I just got a DS a few months ago, so that meets my VG system demands for a while.  Of course, if you were to rate my priority purchases. I'd pick up a Wii first, followed by a PS2, followed by a 360. That doesn't by any means make the PS3 a bad console, it just means it's not first in line.  Now since I'm not going to be buying that many consoles, it means I won't be getting to that point in the line.

That lineup could change in the next few years if the PS3 software lineup ends up blowing everything else out of the water, but that seems unlikely
