Its also the first big RPG for over a year if you count Mass Effect!

Wow, thats a big gap! There are gonna be a lot of RPG fans who'll be hungry like wolves for this title.

Since the end of 2007 the number of Xbox360 consoles sold have increased by 25%.

Mass Effect sold 2 million

Oblivion sold 2.5 million

Fable 1 sold 3.0 million with similar competition from other Xbox RPG titles.

Im going to pick that this title should crack 3 million at least by the end of this year, based on past RPG performances on the Xbox360 , the performance of Fable 1 on the original Xbox360 and lifetime sales should creep past 4 million sometime next year, perhaps even hitting that magical 5 million sales mark.

This game will be the best exclusive game of the year on the Xbox 360 I reckon. Even beating out BK3 and GeoW2. Excepting GTA4 and possibly MGS4, it'll easily be the best game of the year too. Certainly the best RPG.

But I do think your sales estimates are a little high for the given time frames.

No doubt it will sell bigtime..

I liked the first one (with Lost Chapters), even though people say it was a little short and easy and in some people's opinion the aging system wasn't too much fun.
Definitely going to pick this one up.

Well.  I think 3 million lifetime is a given unless the game takes an absolute dive quality wise in the next two months.  It will probably overtake Fable 1.  But I think the Xbox userbase was larger at Fable's launch than the Xbox 360's is now?

Fable was launhed september 2004 right? if so the userbase was 16.3 mill ... by the time fable 2 hits the 360 will be past 21 mill and beyond!

That may be so, but 360 has been selling more games even when the xbox had a larger install-base at the time said games were released

 i'll believe this when i play it. fable was the primary reason why i originally baught the orignal xbox and i was sorely disapointed. hopefully, fable2 lives up to my expectations.

i'll probably get fable2 3-6months after its release as i still have to play through eternal sonata (now playing), lost odyssey, mass effect, infinite undiscovery, tales of vesperia, and last remnant.
