talk all you want about compression....

i've rented an HD movie from xbox market place and i've watched a blu ray at my friends on blu ray. if i can't see the difference there is no difference.

Ethere your lying or your freind has a crappy tv,or its not set up right,or you saw an already crappy blu-ray transfer. i'll say it again......dowloads is no match for blu-ray.
streaming and downloading is certainly the future and inevitable.
Ha i guess you plan on waiting a loooooooong time for downloads to even have a vialble market. internet speeds are still not fast enough, and the ones that are cost to much money. downlaods wont have a place in the market until everyone has a fast connection at a good price, and thats still 10 to 20 years away. face it...blu-ray is not going anywhere, people love to have something hold and collect.

I remeber having this arguement with my mate about singles and album sales. He said people want hard copies and would never adopt downloading music in a big way. It took less than 2 years for it to overtake Cd single sales. LOL. I will never no matter how many bookcases I have be able to rival the amount of films that will be available on downloads that alone justifies it for me. And I stream normal DVD's now and there is no noticeable difference than buying a dvd. Couldnt care less if there is a slight difference. It's like someone saying there is a difference between Assasins Creed on 360 and PS3. It's just not noticeable.

Around the Network

Nope, not interested at all. I've been considering getting a 360, but I can't really see any reason to get either console because most of the games I want for them I can play for less on my PC... And there are so many games coming out for Wii that I want (or games I still need to get) it's financially out of the question.

Furthermore, I was immensely disappointed with my PS2's library, and a lot of the games for PS3 are continuations of that library. And no, Little Big Planet doesn't even come close to interesting me.

Not yet. I am just waiting for more games that interest me to be released before buying one myself since I can play one for free. So far only MGS4 and FF13 are the only games that I want on it since I game mostly on PC than consoles so it will most likely be sitting in my room after I am done with those games.

Nope, didn't change my mind...

Why?

Well, let me start by saying Sony has 3 consoles to worry about, unlike Microsoft and Nintendo. Don't give any fanboyish counter arguments against this because it's true.

Before anyone says, "who's fault is that?." Don't ask this question because its
ridiculous.

Ps3:causing astonishment or amazement.

I keep running this post through my head, imagining different scenarios where it makes sense when applied to the topic at hand and I keep coming up with nothing.

I already have a PS3, but I use for bluray player and dvd upconverter. If i didn't have the PS3, i wouldn't buy it anyway. Coz as of now, I know that I don't really buy a lot of blurays, and the gaming experience on the PS3 is way too similar to the 360. Even then, i definitely prefer the 360 pad for gaming, and my PS3 controller doesn't have rumble and I don't have the intention to invest in a dual shock... Anyway, I'm glad PS3 owners are happy with their PS3.
