Forums - Sony Discussion - @PS3 owners: Do you have a Dualshock 3?

So it seems that quite a few gamers are upgrading to the DS3, which is a success for Sony. It just seems that many PAL guys don't want one because it's ridiculously expensive. They should cut the price to 40 euro/30 pounds/75$AUD.

Bought one for MGS4.  It was well worth it.

Bought one. Too expensive but I just wanted to play games what feels to me the right way. Can't imagine playing with a plain old Sixaxxis now (I kept mine as emergency backups and for when the kids want to play each other). Over time I'll buy a few more until I have four most likely.

Pretty much every game feels way better now, particularly games like Motorstorm, Burnout Paradise, etc.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

No, most of the time rumble served as a mere distraction for me in the past. Maybe if Resistance 2 and/or Killzone 2 includes supreme gun vibration support and does not vibrate when for instance dying (muscle spams? If people like this, please make it optional to disable such IMO crap!) then I might get one.

It is possible to turn off the rumble.

I know, what would then the point be of getting a rumble enabled PS3 gamepad?

If it couldn't be turned off I wouldn't even consider getting one.

What I was talking about is being able to customize rumble, some rumble effects are potentially cool (like for gunning) some other uses I just find irritating and distracting.

PS3 vs 360 sales

yes, i bought one seperatly, when i bought my ps3 is came with motorstrm and blu rays via rebate and i sold them on ebay.

even if you dont like the rumble you can turn it off, because the dualshock is alot better than the sixaxis quality wise

No, got sick of rumble by the end of the PS1/N64 gen.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Nah...Don't need one.

I have 2 which I bought separetely
