As soon as we saw the EA/Epic partner deal yesterday, we knew the game wasn’t going to hit Wii. The first bit of information released confirmed the platforms, and Wii wasn’t one of them. Now, Epic rubs a little salt in the wound with their further statements on the game. Check out this snippet from a Kotaku article…

And we won’t have to worry about some watered-down version on the Wii. (Michael Capps, President of Epic Games) is pretty sure this new game won’t appeal to “that crowd” and that the best way to make a game that works on multiple platforms is to build a super-awesome story, find a badass hero and then work with the system particulars to deliver tailored experiences.

 

What a bunch of assholes, that's my opinion.

epic likes money very very much, but the wii is everything they dont stand for, besides they get their money from unreal 3 engine and that doesnt run on wii.

what a jackass, its not like i need them to start making wii exclusives or anything just include it in the muktiplats

well i reckon the suda51 game (which wii is getting) will be better anyway

If epic (or ubisoft or whoever) doesn't want to put their games on (insert system here) that's their prerogative. They can spell it out without being dicks about it.

um, your 13, you couldn't buy it anyways.  I like the end of the Kotaku article though, kind of hinted that the main character could be a girl, and that is something that isn't done often and would be fun instead of the typical grunt that you play as in most shooters.

K I love Epic, Gears 2 is probably my most anticipated game this holiday, but fuck Mike Capps. He shouldn't have anything to do with the press, ever. "That crowd"--please.

Epic indeed is better off working on high-res stuff. It's what their whole business is based on. You can't blame them for ignoring the Wii.

It's just their wording sound a bit offensive to the "Wii crowd".

Then again, anything anyone say about anything could be taken as offensive if you look hard enough for a reason to.
