Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you think LittleBigPlanet can boost PS3 or sell in Japan?

Michael Pachter if you recall back then, believes last year when he saw the big crowd in Japan checking the game out that it can be a system seller in Japan.

I mean it's not an JRPG, nor is it japanese developed game, but do you think this British made game can make a big splash in Japan?

Around the Network

eh,i honestly dont know, itll be very interesting.it has that quirky, weird, casual look that the japanese like...but then again it was made by a british developer...so idk

i think it will help it sell but not much

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

I'm not too confident if LBP really can do something on the japanese market, for japanese gamers and casuals seem to vastly prefer games developed in japan.
Still, with a lot of marketing some kind of impact may be possible.

i think its going to have a decent (maybe even a great) impact on japan. japan loves this kind of stuff and i can see it being a nice boost for sony.

Around the Network

well when ever people see this game they flock around it, and they have flocked around it in japan already

so out of all the games coming this year from the ps3 i think this game has the best chance of doing well

It might cause of the marketing their doing over there, but I don't know how much of a boost....

Depends on their marketing push.

Itll either be a big hit or end up like Okami or NMH.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

This is the single only game I will buy for the PS3 (Unless I manage to get a PS3 within the next few months, years) I'll be buying it for my 8 year old nephew for christmas.

I imagine this game will not only be a well needed console seller, but definately will have quite some legs behind it when more and more people become aware of the creative genius behind this game. Thus far, its very shadowed as not many people are too aware.

So once again just to repeat common knowledge; it depends on their marketting.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?
