Forums - Sony Discussion - Warhawk Going Retail at full $59.99 inluding bluetooth headset?

With Warhawk hype more white-hot than ever due to the ongoing beta, PlayStation 3 owners have been dying to hear news on the game's finished release. We know the game's getting a retail and downloadable drop, and the retail one's coming with a bluetooth headset. Now, thanks to a listing on EBGames, we know just a bit more.

If the listing -- which has now been removed, not long after 1UP asked Sony Computer Entertainment America to comment, which they (so far) haven't -- is to be believed, the retail version of Warhawk will indeed cost $60. The bluetooth headset included is a Jabra BT125. Reviews of this headset around the web are fairly positive, with ZDNet giving it a 7.7. Bluetooth review site Blue Tomorrow cites excellent sound quality and an intuitive design as pros, listing only some minor problems with the volume for cons.

On its own the Jabra BT125 retails for $44.99, although it's available for $35 at Amazon.

Minus the cost of the headset, the downloadable version should only cost $20 or $30 tops, although there's no set word from Sony on this yet. We'll let you know as soon as that drops, but meantime check out this smoking 1UP preview for Warhawk.

are those BT headsets stereo ??

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

If it falls in the realm of 20-30 bucks, I think that would be a smart move. This is how they should've released Shadowrun for the 360.

Being a multi-player only title, I think $20-30 is going to be the sweet spot when it comes to the DLC pricing. I think the full retail cost is justified because of the headset, but we have two or three bluetooth headsets for our cellphones already so I'd be more than happy to pay $20-30 instead for the DLC version.

I am getting the retail version with the headset it seems.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

No, it's an over the ear like most cell phones use.

It seems the mods need help with this forum.  I have zero tolerance for trolling, platform criticism (Rule 4), and poster bad-mouthing (Rule 3.4) and you will be reported.

DON'T GET THIS HEADSET. Please, for the love of God, I owned one. It's complete trash.

Buy the downloadable version and go get a Motorola or Plantronics headset from eBay. You can pick up vastly superior headsets for about $25-30.

That BT125 is a piece of junk. It was nearly unusable and I returned it after three days.

This review disagrees with you.

Maybe you got a faulty one?
