Picture Problem

I recently got Perfect Dark Zero and noticed something I can only describe as picture tearing. At some parts when I move my character, horizontal lines appear as if the picture is slightly shifted in three sections (kinda out of sync). It's nothing major but I was wondering what I can do to correct this. My 360 is connected to an SDTV.

XBox Live

My 360 is online and I got a free gold membership for a month, however, before I got the free trial I noticed the prices... they seem very expensive to me. I thought it was 50 bucks a year.

8.99 per month (10.25 after taxes)

24.99 per 3 months (28.48 after taxes)

It didn't have a 1 year option so I'm assuming people go by these two plans. That's over 120 a year, am I missing something?

@ Perfect dark Zero - its a launch game, so it could be having a framerate problem. Frame tearing is a symptom of that and im sorry nothing can be done.

@ Live gold - its $50 from a shop or $40 with free shipping from New Egg.

Anything else dude?

I don't think it's framerate because I didn't notice any slowdown and it was in an empty area (no enemies).

Check out my games for sale eBay and Toycatacomb

I am no writer but I try

Where do I download a patch?

If you're logged into Live and you start up a game, if there is a patch available for it you will automatically be prompted to install it. You don't have to go looking for patches or look through a list or anything.

Yeah, don't get it off xbox live.

They rip us canadians off. Best buy has it for 59.99 for 13 months. If you don't mind ebay its around 45. Amazon.ca is 59.99 with a 10 dollar off coupon for new accounts...

You shouldn't pay more than 50 bucks for it.

My 360 crapped out after about 13 months. So instead of replacing it I bought a PS3. It is so much better. It is reliable and the PSN is free. I will admit LIVE is slightly better at this moment, but this won't last. Sony has made great strides this year and in a lot of aspects it's better.
My advice is to switch.

wow super troll above, also it could just be vsync, got a camera?

Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.

And Kjj how did that help with his question exactly?

My PS3 crapped out after about 13 months. So instead of replacing it I bought a 360. It's so much better. It has better games, no forced installs, you don't have to install demos, there's more content on Live, cross platform games are usually better on it, there are a standard set of features across the board for all games, achievements, custom soundtracks....etc....etc.... I will admit that PSN is worse at this moment, but this won't change. MS has made great strides this year and in most aspects it's better.

My advice is to not switch.

Helpful post eh?? :P

Don't troll the topic.  The topic creator is looking for a constructive solution, and you are using it to push your agenda.

About tearing, I've never actually seen it on an SDTV, that's amazing! Sorry I can't really help you there, are you using the stock cables and all? You can try simply using a different input it could be the fault of the TV's input. I've heard some games have it from their side of things and it's not always the TV however I've never experienced it.

On the subject of gold, buy the card you get a discount per month but have to pay up front. The benefit of buying in shorter periods is it's less out of pocket but you pay more per month, how you do it is up to you.
