Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Still Buying From the Virtual Console?

Is anyone still getting virtual console titles? I still look forward to seeing what titles are released every week; however, I find it very hard to convince myself to drop the cash on these titles. When I first got the Wii, I was into the virtual console and picked up a couple titles here and there, but now I find myself lacking the interest in spending the money for these games. I don't feel that my interest in the VC has faded as it is more just realizing how much these games cost if you start adding it up (plus 1000 = $13 something in Canada). Does anyone else feel this way or do you still regularly buy VC titles?

I'm still buyin `em.  I picked up Street Fighter 2 Turbo last week, and Diddy's Kong Quest before that, and Actraiser before that.  I'm likely to purchase Mario Kart 64, Starfox 64, and F-Zero X in the somewhat-near future.

In total, I've spent $60 on Virtual Console titles.  8 games for the price of one.  :)

I can't stop buying games. I've spent $120 on 20 VC titles thus far. I'm trying to cut back a little though.

I'm not buying currently, but I'm trying not to buy any more games at least until after a couple of months. After my next payday and perhaps none until after PAX.

I have definitely cut down on the number of VC titles I have bought recently. Last purchase was "Story of Thor" - which has been reasonably good (and worth the money).

I barely have time for games at all these days (scraped 1hr of Wii gaming last weekend)... :P

Picked up Harry Potter (Wii) on the weekend (as well as Dragon Quest 8 - for $15US). But I don't want to play HP seriously until I finish reading the book (about 2/3rd through now). And RE4 & Mario Party 8 arrive in less than 3 weeks...

I just purchased Gradius III and was thinking of getting Actraiser but didn't based on reviews. I like the idea of the game but I am not willing to pay 8 bucks for it without playing it once.

The last VC game I picked up was Donkey Kong Country.
I was thinking of picking up F-Zero X this week but then thought that most of the enjoyment I got from playing this game back in the day was from playing with others. I don't really have any "others" to play with nowadays so I'm less interested in getting it. I appreciate what Nintendo is doing with presenting these games in their tried and true original forms, but it'd be nice to see some online functionality added on here and there for the games that could benefit from having some online multiplayer. Added features would definitely make these titles worth the price, especially since someone could get these original titles for free via emulation despite the legals issues surrounding it.

I have 18 virtual console games. I'm running out of storage space :(

Ugh I have tried the emulated Megaman games and I tried the real thing. EMULATION BLOWS!!! At first I thought that the game was just ridiculously tough, but then I tried the actual Nintendo and MY GOD, I was killing the toughest enemies like nothing.

I haven't picked up any VC titles yet. I have so many retro and new games as it is, not much need to go back to the old stuff yet. I definately plan on getting some Megaman games though when enough come out.

I have 10, still going too. I love shoveling cash out of my pockets apparently.
