Yes, I know this site is primarily about console games, but:

1) We have discussions about the existance of God

2) I'm a huge PC Gamer

So I think it would be acceptable for me to show some PC Game previews. The first I'll show is Hellgate: London:

I'm sure many of you know that I'm a wee bit tired of hack n' slash games, but I can still play them (I'm playing Resident Evil 4 right now), especially when they're multiplayer. Hellgate: London is an MMORPGFPS. Omgwtfbbq, you say? Yes, it's true! It's built by many of the developers of Diablo, who have since left Blizzard. It features the same open ended design, where you can enter "dungeons" and portions of the games content repeatedly, and every time you do the dungeon is rebuilt randomly.

I'm hoping this game can be a true test of skill in an MMO game, because (at the moment) I don't feel that most really tax skill level to a high degree.  FPS tend to take more skill to multi-play than RPGs do, so it's a start.

I never actually watched that video. It looks good! It has potential.

I'm currently sucked into LOTRO. I like some MMOs, but I agree that it doesn't take much skill to get through the game. I'm kinda glad I never played WoW.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Hadn't really been interested in any MMO due to the excessive amount of script kiddies and cheaters out there.

Now, the weird thing about Hellgate: London is that they kept changing the type of the game, so I am not gonna make any judgement until I see the end product.

P.S. about time someone make this thread

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

Hellgate London is like the only PC only game that I am really hyped for that I can think of.

If the difference between the free version of the game and the subscription version aren't too big then I am definitely getting this.

Looks awesome. The same guys are also making a Diablo clone called Mythos and it's totally free looks kickass!

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

It's funny for me, as I became a console gamer as a child as the games appealed to me more and games in general were much more user friendly for consoles as compared to PC's back then.

As it stands now, the PC is my X-factor with the console market. Most likely I will be getting the big games that are suppose to hit Xbox only ( Such as Fable 2, Mass Effect and such ) much later, and with more content to boot, on the PC.

Ahhh Finally!!!
I used to play Planetside which was a MMOFPS it was great but it lacked any real....meaning, you gained a few things as time went on, but I just fought the same war again and again.

It was utterly cool though, talking to a southen guy thats drinking bourbon while we flew down to take out some snipers on the hill that were pinning our ground troops down..wondering how drunk he was and if he would shoot me down instead :)

Okie that was a little O/T but I've been waiting for another MMOFPS for AGES. So Hell gate is exactly what I'm looking for, besides I want to see if I can find my house :)

It may be coming to the 360...

http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4551&Itemid=2

"NamcoBandai’s director of business development Zach Karlsson tells Next-Gen about the company’s plans for creating new IP, and for moving current IP across more platforms. Looks like Hellgate: London (pictured) is Xbox 360 bound, for one thing…."

It's acutally utterly different then Plantside as it's RPG and more hack and slash then "shoot and die" PvP, but hopefully it's alot deeper.
It does seem like it's not a pure MMO either., but I'm still interested in it.

"Hellgate: London will support many modes of single-player and online play. Most importantly, we will be providing a destination where players can congregate in large or small numbers within the world. Here, they will be able to group up for adventures, trade items, or just hang out and chat. Plans for competitive modes are just being discussed now, but our main emphasis will be on supporting cooperative adventuring."

Mass Effect isn't even in development for the PC and it may never be...

 Sounds like... Guild War?
