Guys, I got a used Gamecube recently, how reliable is the system? did anyone of you have it break on you? thanks.

i bought a used gamecube about 3 years ago, its still working, even though i dont use it anymore thanks to wii having BC, gamecube is one of the most reliable consoles ever, in fact nintendo always makes reliable hardware

Now that I think of it, I remember an episode of X-play where they were testing console strength... the PS2 went out first, the box 2nd, the cube never did... thank you guys :)
bought mine in winter '02. It stopped reading disks a year ago.
The only game that wit would read was SSBM

Gamecube is the most reliable system of last gen for several reasons, unless you count the slim PS2.
A. Sturdy and well designed hardware.
B. The lense is clearly visible and easily cleanable by the consumer at home.
C. Very cool running console, comparitively.

I have the NGC since its launch (05/03/2002 in France) and I have played with at about 800 hours without problem...
Oh no, I forget, the console bugged ONCE during a "loading", those due to a cleanless DVD!
...
For a year, my Wii bugged very more time and for a month my X360 even more!
So, NGC is reliable! Without doubts...
