Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Too Human Info - 15 to 80 hours long and Sequel sooner then later!

Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack said hitting the level 50 limit in Too Human may take anywhere between 50 to 80 hours.

"First play through is probably around 15 hours, I guess, it depends. To get to level 50, it's anywhere from 50 to 80 hours. It's a lot! There's a lot there to want to dig! And to get all the epic loot - I don't even know if it's possible to get everything in the game, it's probably not - not for a single person," Dyack told Kikizo.

Dyack, surprisingly, then said work on the two following instalments in the trilogy was already quite far in advance.

The Silicon Knights boss was also optimistic of timely turnouts for the rest of the trilogy; it is "very possible" we will see them before Microsoft replaces the Xbox 360 hardware.

At least they can make back some of the money lost in the ludicrously long development time by reusing the game engine for the sequels.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Well it better be a fun game then.

Cause if you can beat a game in 15 hours. But then takes another 35 hours minimum to level up to lvl 50. If it isn't fun doing it and no good rewards.

- sweet weapons/armor and some awesome skills.

Then there is not way people will spend that time leveling up. Maybe they have it like Diablo II and that after you beat it the first time the difficulty ups and you start over with your current character. That wouldn't be bad.

talking about over hyped games

We aren't going to have to wait 8 years for a sequel? What gives Silicon Knights? I thought that was their usual development cycle.

Yea Silicon Knights is almost like Insomniac at quickly churning out quality games.

And by almost I mean "absolutely nothing like". If Too Human 2 does ever get released, I would be surprised if they got their act together and got it out this gen.

This is the 360's Haze... not that great of a game, so who cares how long you can play it? (over and over again).

Planning a sequel too soon usually ends up making them too much like the original. lets hope SK does something about that melee system, mmmkay?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

But will Too Human be any good? Earlier previews indicated it will be a mediocre game.

Heh, 50 sounds much better than 15. I first read the title and thought that it was a 15 hour game with 65 hours of pointless sidequests most people wont do. This at least tells me it's a 50 hour game with 30 hours of sidequests people won't do which is a lot better.
