wow, that sucks. I noticed you said you live in a dorm like apt where its all college kids. I bet it was one of them who knew about your stuff and broke in when you were gone.

Also, they took your bags because the books are worth money and the bag can be used to haul out other things like the Wii and games, etc.

If they stole your 360 and Wii, you should be able to contact Microsoft and Nintendo and have them keep an alert out for if your console connects back online. I am sure I've heard of at least 3 different cases of that method being used to track that stuff down.

As for why they didn't take the laptop or desktop, It's possible they couldn't find teh Power adapter for the laptop, and didn't want to go to the hassle of disconnecting the computer. it's also possible they didn't want to risk stealing those and finding out later that they were 10 year old computers or something that aren't worth the effort to take. The consoles are going to have a more standard value to them.

The only money they got was maybe 10 bucks in change that was in this pewter cup that I kept on my desk.  I got it for a graduation present a few years ago.  High school graduation that is.

@grey, yea I thought that might be possible to track that stuff down when it connects.  I also think they didn't take the laptop because they had to hurry and just took whatever they could.  They probably wanted to clean the whole apartment out. 

I just hope that my apartment company comes over today and gives us a new door because a guy already came by saying he would put a whole new one on, he just had to talk to his boss first.

Sorry to hear it man. It must be a horrible feeling of spending all this time and money on something to have someone just take it all away.
