I predict a Wii crash.

As Furious of AtheneWins says in his Wii reviews, the Wiimote looks like a d****, and what is one saying about oneself if one is holding such a thing up to one's mouth to simulate playing a saxophone or Trumpet in Wii Music?

Sqrl the mod says: And playing a flute is different how exactly?  Pointing out that an object is phallic in nature and then giggling about it being put near the mouth is pretty sophomoric and ultimately has no bearing on the conversation.  Stay on topic and leave the flamebait out of it or don't post at all.

Sqrl the user says: As for Metatcritic and Gameranking scores you missed one important point.  And that is that the people who really decide how good a game is (or isn't) are the ones who vote with their wallet not the self-proclaimed hardcore gamers who get paid to review games and only got into the job because they liked hardcore gaming.  The votes that count come from the wallet of the consumer and Nintendo has been dominating those polls since it launched, just look at the $1B profits last quarter.

If you don't like what Wii and Nintendo has to offer than don't buy it, but don't delude yourself into thinking that your opinions more than the next guy's.

If you can't stay on topic don't post in the thread.

The people whom pay with their wallets don't determine how good a game is. They only determine how well it sells. If people paying with their wallets determined how good a product is, then Justin Timberlake's albums would be better than Tom Waits' which is in no way the truth.

Maybe I have been stating things a little inexactly here. It isn't Nintendo that is ruining gaming but the people that are supporting Nintendo's products with their wallets that are ruining gaming because their are much better consoles and games that they could be spening their money on.

What made you feel the need to argue in support of the wii? It seemed like this just came from nowhere....

That is really ironic coming from you.  I've seen you support so many people that go out of there way to bash the Wii or praise the PS3, so why not tell them "what made you feel the need to argue in support of the PS3/bring down the Wii? It seemed like this just came from nowhere...."

I smell Sony fanboy ;)

Standing up and waving your hand at a TV screen to play a game. That does not sounds like much fun to me. I much rather play a shooter game on a HD console or PC.
But to other people including once non gamers (soccer mums, girls, grandmas and grandpas) and casuals the Wii is a breath of fresh air. It brings people to play games who like the idea of the motion control.
Each to their own opinion and tastes. A boring world it would be if we all had the same interests.

That is greatly manipulating what the Wii really does.  It just uses Motion Controls in place of using other controls like instead of using an analog stick to move around a curser and shoot, you just point the Wii remote at the screen and use it where you want to shoot.  I thought this was done excellently with Metroid Prime 3 Corruption.  I'm kind of glad that Nintendo did something new, because analog for the past 20 years kind of gets boring ;)  And I consider myself a hardcore gamer and I enjoy the Wii.  I guess that's a crime in your books.

This is totally subjective.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

@ Baph77, if you look on Gamerankings. SMG has a higher ranking than both version of GTAIV.  Don't be some biased fanboy who just uses one site and ignores another.  Plus Nintendo has more best selling games, so there's another set of opinions for you.  Stop being a fanboy and just accept that Sony isn't on its high horse anymore.  Plus most review sites just become a slave to graphics and decide to gie it an 80 because "it looks good" I find.  Plus if you actually get "stress injuries" you need to get off your couch and I don't know, actually get out and play some sports.  Your opinion is not fact.  Accept it and move on you deluded fanboy.  Just because you don't enjoy something, doesn't mean everybody else can't.

And FYI, review sites are just another opinion.

"This is totally subjective."

It is objective. There have to be standards and criteria by which to judge products from. You don't take a class in Western literature in a university and study authors like John Saul. There is a reason why authors like Shakespeare, William Blake, Keats, Chaucer, etc. are stressed and that is because they are considered to have set the standard for their medium and it is a standard that the majority of critics have agreed upon over time that is why the works of the authors I list above are considered to be canonical.

In the medium of video games, you also have critics and the majority of their reviews have said that the best games and by a wide numerical margin have appeared on the 360 in this console generation. Not supporting the console that the vast majority of critical appraisals have indicated to be the best in its medium leads to support of lesser products within the industry which in turn leads to a decrease in the quality of future products in that industry.

Thank you for making my point.  You are clearly unable to recognize that what you like is not necessarily representative of what is "best" or "better". You've arrogantly assumed your preferences are absolute preferences.
