Whatever you want to say about how great the Wii is, it doesn't change these facts. Wii Sports Metacritic score of 76. Wii Fit Metacritic score of 80. Mario Kart Wii Metacritic score of 82. Dave Halverson in Play magazine's recent report on the 7th generation says Wii Sports is one of the most overrated games of all time. And the only reason it has sold so well is because it is bundled with the Wii. The 360 has 100 games that have Metacritic scores in the range from 80 to 100. The Wii only has 25. The 360 has 14 games with Metacritic scores in the 90 to 100 range and the Wii only has 5. GTA IV, the top game on both the PS3 and the 360 has a higher Metacritic score 98 than does the highest scoring game on the Wii -- Mario Galaxy at 97. If both Microsoft and Sony (if Sony is still in the console race next time try out) to emulate the Wii by releasing significantly underpowered pieces of junk next time out that only sell because they have a waggle controller, then Nintendo will have officially ruined gaming. And when people ask Nintendo to bring out more "core" games like bringing all of the Earthbound games to America, etc, they flatly refuse to do so and instead present a piece of **** product like Wii Music instead that does nothing at all for the already oversaturated music game industry, yet they act as if it is the best thing since buttered bread since it is a Nintendo product and they expect millions of people to be so stupid that they swallow it hook line and sinker. Finally, much like cultists, Nintendo's fans on boards seem so deluded by the Wii that they really seem to think that this last gen console (The Conduit's graphics look no better than those in Halo 2) with inferior games is the best gaming platform on the market when all other signs except for sales indicate otherwise.

I'm sorry, this devotion to Metacritic and Gamerankings as a way to determine game quality is kind-of pathetic ...

The game review system is broken and only (really) reflects the preferences of a small section of the population, and are often more reflective of how much marketing money was given to reviewers' magazines or sites. Grand Theft Auto 4 is the perfect example of the problem because in most ways it is noticeably worse than GTA:SA and yet it received higher review scores across the board.

FFS you seem to be one of those people who forget something good someone has done fore you and only remember the bad things they did too you. Do you understand what I am saying?

Ok then I will explain it’s easy too understand really :)

Zelda, Metroid, Mario, SSBB, Mario kart, Super Paper Mario these are all hardcore and they came out within a year and a half ore so these games can be enjoyed by the mass market as well ok maybe not Zelda and Metroid. These games take time its not like a sports game were you can throw them out every year with a few thing changed/added too them. They don’t spit out games

Hardcore games take time! They will come!   

Its funny how people only criticise Nintendo fore using there IPs but when other companies do that everybody is hush... about it. Nintendo reinvents them making them more fun (in some cases maybe not) but at least they do new things not like most other companies that just copies and pastes… anything successful in this world will be criticized but it is only human I guess…  

I guess what you're saying Happy Squirrel is that it all comes down to personal preference then. Well, then if that is what you're saying, I will just say that by going by my own personal preferences, I prefer to spend my money in one console generation to buy a console that has much better graphics and technical features than the console that I spent a similar amount of money upon in the generation before. And, I find the ability to sit and relax in a chair while my mind goes on an epic adventure in a game like Fallout 3, Gears of War, or Mass Effect to be a much better way to spend my time than anything that I've seen on the Wii.

Standing up and flinging my arm about in a game like Wii Sports seems to me to be a much greater way to acquire repetitive stress injuries than does using a 360 or PS3 controller especially if you are expected to do so for the length of an epic game -- if I'm going to play Zelda: Twilight Princess, I'm going to do it in the comfort of an easy chair with a gamepad, so that I don't have to emulate all of Link's sword fighting, etc, because those things are for Link and not me to do...too much work. And, I find the idea of eat a bag of popcorn while playing a popcorn game like Gears of War or Halo to be much more personally appealing than is the idea of playing Wii Fit in an attempt to mold myself into some acceptable version of what Nintendo Corporation thinks I should be.

RSI is acquired through tensing muscles for prolonged periods, and causes damage to tendons. Seeing as Wii is supposedly a bastion of casual gaming, it's very doubtful that using the Wiimote can cause this. The worst that could happen is muscle aches the day after, which is a sign of the muscle fibres repairing themselves after intensive exercise.

This can't even happen with a regular game controller unless you're gripping the thing as though you're trying to crush it, and / or holding it in an uncomfortable position for hours on end, day after day. Please don't trivialise this serious condition to support your argument against a company you don't like.

As Furious of AtheneWins says in his Wii reviews, the Wiimote looks like a d****, and what is one saying about oneself if one is holding such a thing up to one's mouth to simulate playing a saxophone or Trumpet in Wii Music?
