Rock Band 2 has received an official release date for the PlayStation 3 platform. While many gamers are still upset about the timed exclusivity that the title will receive on the XBOX 360, they can be rest assured that they will not have to wait long.

With Rock Band 2 releasing on September 14 for the 360, Sony fans will be waiting roughly a month for their chance to start rocking away once more. The PlayStation 3 version is set to release on October 19, which is coincidentally one month before the release of the Nintendo Wii version.

I prefer Rock Band over GH4 for many reasons...

Better music selection
Larger music selection
An actual DLC strategy
No random notes thrown in where there aren't supposed to be
Harmonix > Activision

I'll probably still rent GH4 or buy the game by itself since you can use Rock Band drums with it now. Hopefully they won't just sell it in the bundle.

Coincedentally I got my PS3 October 20. It'll be like some sort of jacked up anniversary.

Since M$ prolly paid a bundle for the exclusive you potentially could have a better game for it as a result and a month isn't long to wait.

its, all good, the bad part is RB2 comes out on the 19th of October, and on the 7th Fallout 3 comes out... what will I do???? (I'm getting both, just gonna have to balance play time)
