Your news roughly equates to posting a link and adding a few unverified inflammatory quotes, specifically designed to get PS3 owners riled up.  Every single post you make in a PS3 thread is negative, and while not obvious trolling, it is never constructive and never adds anything to the conversation.

On the issue of fw 2.43 being dodgy, it looks like its not as widespread as the article is implying. Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.

On the issue of me never having anything positive to say about the PS3, this is almost true. That is why I own an Xbox 360 at the momnet. This could change in the future, I like to dissect and discuss negative issues, that is interesting to me.

It is also what the most people find interesting, just read the newspapers for example. I don't find things like press releases exciting or other fluff.

I've been having one problem with my PS3. I can't receive trophies on SSHD. They were working the first two days then I put in a new 320 gb hard drive and downloaded firmware 2.41. After I did those two things my trophies won't update for SSHD. Anyone have idea's? Is there a way to manually update the trophies?

This just in New PSN update saves you $50 per year!

Geesh, all these updates are dizzying me... 2.40 bricked me, didn't get my machines back until 2.42, now 2.43....

Oh well, we get what we pay for and this case the price is free (Both good and bad).

Download the game, play it, update, check trophies [quit the game], go back in the game and win some kind of trophy, quit and check your trophies again.
