Anyone else noticed weird weather recently?

Here in the UK, it was pouring down a few hours ago, and was really cold, considering in 2 days time it will be July, and the middle of the Summer really. And now it's really sunny with only a few clouds, and a blue sky.

Do you think this could be related with climate change and creating more varied weather. I mean last year scientists found the Gulf Stream had dropped in strength by about 30%. And that is kinda important as it's the Gulf Stream that stops lovely England being as cold as Russia (as we are of a similar distance from the north pole).

If you don't belive me have a look at this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/6248102.stm -UK recovering from flooding. If you read that, you'll find they closed the M1, which is probably one of the most important roads in the whole of the UK.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/6245652.stm -Pictures of the flooding, I mean this is the UK on the 27th June!

This is the 5-day forecast for London: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0008

I mean, what the heck is going on here, it should be really Sunny by now, I mean last years was a heatwave, and nearing the end of the school term last year, they made us go home for the afternoon as it was so hot!

Has anyone else experienced this kinda freaky weather? Or are us British the only ones having to deal with this?

One person's experience or opinion never shows the general consensus

Unfortunetly that same line is keeping Minnesota from getting any significent rain.  It has been almost straight 90 degree day and absolutly no rain for the past 2 weeks.

My lawn is dying fast.

I live in miami FL and thre's a tropical wave stuck over us and has been for the past 3 days.

Yes i wish you could have it, cause im sick of seeing it, we had 18 inches of rain the last 3 days.

In a rough sense there is somewhere between 100 and 1,000 distinctive climate zones across the 6 continents that have people on them; this means that at any given time several areas will see rare (1 in 100 year) weather patterns, dozens will see somewhat rare weather patterns (1 in 25 years), and most will see weather patterns that are unusual (1 in 5 to 10 years).

Inspite of what you're sold on television ... Abnormal weather is normal weather ...

Tispower, where in the UK do you live? did you get flooded or miss them?
I live in Bristol so we didn't get any major floods (well my garage got flooded but it's a crappy garage) but the River Avon was at the highest i think i've ever seen it and looked like it was on the brink of bursting its banks.

We haven't had any flooding in my part of west london, but it's been raining every day for the last week.
Was sunny an hour ago, now it looks like it's going to rain again...

Last month I was on holiday in Puglia, Italy. It is called - "The place where it never rains"

It rained every day and even hailed once, they couldn't believe it and told me not to bring the english weather next time :)

So yes, I think the weather is changing.

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

It's really cold and rainy here in Chicago...it was blistering hot a week ago...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
